This is a sales role that requires dedication and focus. You’ll be making a variety of calls including some outbound leads. Through good call structure, quickly building professional rapport to identify needs, you’ll generate selling opportunities and then convert these within targeted levels. This activity will deliver agreed fuel sales and revenue targets that will drive high levels of open-ended commission earnings.
What you'll be doing
Corpay is looking for a motivated Business Development Associate to join their thriving sales team and focus on providing quality prospects to our Enterprise Sales Team. This is an exciting opportunity in a corporate sales environment where you will be exposed to the competitive and coveted financial technology sector. You will strategically prospect and cold call into targeted markets using various lead generation channels. This position requires a self-driven individual with exceptional professional communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research prospective accounts to understand needs, build target lists, and develop effective emails and scripts.
- Set appointments with a prospect to conduct either a phone discussion or a face-to-face meeting with an experienced Corpay Enterprise Sales Manager.
- Continually market those prospects who are not ready to move to Corpay by making periodic calls, sending timely market updates and marketing materials.
- Maintain Salesforce records by continuously logging prospecting activities, adding new contacts, and updating account information with useful account intelligence.
- Deliver consistent activity to achieve monthly and quarterly goals and objectives.
- Provide constructive suggestions for improving the inbound/outbound sales development processes.
Requirements:
- This role requires excellent selling skills in a B2B environment, strong communication skills, the ability to use cold calling to generate sales and exceptional customer relationship development.
- Min 1 year of relevant sales or cold-calling experience, preferably in the FX and Cross-Border Payments or SaaS industry.
- Experienced in prospecting across various channels, especially phone sales.
- Advanced computer skills required, including high level knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of CRM (Salesforce) required.
- Knowledge of commercial payments and services preferred
