Job Overview:
As a Business Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the lifecycle of business-focused projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, clients, and internal teams to deliver quality solutions that meet business objectives and exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of business-focused IT projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and client requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify project risks and issues early, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure they are communicated and managed effectively.
- Resource Coordination: Allocate resources efficiently, track project progress, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and ensure costs are within approved limits. Recommend adjustments as necessary to avoid budget overruns.
- Team Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and quality assurance specialists to ensure the project meets business requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet the company's quality standards and align with client expectations.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to stakeholders, providing clear updates on progress, risks, and challenges.
- Change Management: Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate change control processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement lessons learned and best practices to continuously improve project management processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 5 years of proven experience in business project management within the IT industry, with a strong track record of successful project deliveries.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Client-Facing Experience: Experience working with clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in IT service delivery, software development, cloud solutions, or enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
- Ability to manage large-scale projects with complex requirements.
