Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on thorough analysis of materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop comprehensive project budgets and cost plans, considering project specifications and client requirements.
• Continuously monitor project budgets and expenditures, tracking costs against estimates and identifying variances for proactive management.
• Evaluate tender submissions, conduct cost analysis, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Coordinate procurement activities, including issuing purchase orders, managing supplier contracts, and tracking deliveries to meet project deadlines.
• Implement cost control measures to manage project expenditures within approved budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
• Review and assess variations, change orders, and claims, analyzing their impact on project costs and providing recommendations for resolution.
• Monitor and report on project cost performance, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement to project stakeholders.
• Identify and assess potential risks and liabilities associated with project contracts, providing recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing construction projects, including health and safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant field
• Diploma or Degree equivalent in Building / Quantity surveying
• Posses interpersonal skills and people management skills
• Good communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project
