We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Demand Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for forecasting demand for our range of fine food products, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and supporting our supply chain operations. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to anticipate market trends and customer needs, enabling us to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for a wide range of fine food products, utilizing historical data, market trends, and sales input.
- Inventory Management: Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure sufficient stock availability while minimizing excess inventory and waste.
- Data Analysis: Analyze sales data, customer orders, and market trends to identify patterns and adjust forecasts accordingly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to align demand planning with business objectives and promotional activities.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and sales performance to management.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving demand planning processes and implement best practices to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Customer Focus: Understand customer requirements and collaborate with account managers to ensure a high level of service and product availability.
- Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
- System Maintenance: Maintain and update demand planning tools and systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in demand planning, preferably in the fine food or FMCG industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in demand planning software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory management principles.
