About the Job
The Planner role is crucial to ensuring seamless supply chain operations, production schedules, and on-time delivery of our products. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing our ERP system, improving inventory management, and driving supplier performance. This is a high-impact role that directly supports our commitment to delivering on time, every time.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure On-Time Delivery
- Achieve on-time delivery targets of 95%+ by ensuring critical components are available for production.
- Proactively manage material planning and procurement schedules to support production timelines.
- Optimize ERP Utilization
- Lead the effort to improve ERP system accuracy and efficiency by ensuring proper setup and maintenance of inventory data (e.g., item master, BOM accuracy).
- Perform data validation and collaborate with internal teams to streamline ERP processes.
- Drive Supplier Management
- Develop and implement supplier performance tracking, focusing on reducing lead times and improving delivery reliability.
- Conduct supplier meetings to address performance gaps and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Improve Forecast Accuracy
- Analyze historical data and collaborate with sales and operations teams to create demand forecasts with 85%+ accuracy.
- Adjust forecasts monthly based on real-time data and business needs.
- Inventory Control and Classification
- Implement ABC classification and other methodologies to optimize stock levels and ensure proper inventory tracking.
- Conduct weekly meetings to review inventory levels, open POs, and work-in-progress components.
- Support Production Scheduling
- Collaborate with the production team to monitor adherence to schedules, identifying and resolving bottlenecks as needed.
- Track production performance metrics and adjust plans to meet targets.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain/Engrg
- ERP Expertise: Proficiency with ERP systems, with prior experience in setting up and managing inventory, BOMs, and production planning.
- Planning Experience: 5+ years in supply chain, production planning, or a related role in manufacturing or technology.
- Analytical Skills: Strong capability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and operations.
- Attention to Detail: High standards for data accuracy and system integrity.
