[What the role is]
You will be part of the Planning team under the Planning & Development Division (P&D) responsible for managing and reviewing budgets and fees alongside multiple stakeholders to achieve effective resource planning and management. The portfolio includes supporting the division's work planning activities and ensuring compliance to policies/guidelines and corporate governance. You will be required to create and deliver presentations to major stakeholders and draft business cases, policies, guidelines, and procedures. Simple data analysis and its related work may be required.
[What you will be working on]
Resource planning and management
• Manage a team of budget coordinators to ensure the accurate collation of budget reviews on an annual basis (including start of year, mid-year and year-end budget reviews)
• Monitor and present regular budget updates to internal stakeholders
• Act as the budget manager and point of contact (POC) between corporate divisions (Finance and HR) and the 7 divisions within ALG
• Oversee budget management, active budget tracking and reviewing across various ALG Fund Codes
• Work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies, guidelines and standards including clarifications with the relevant parties
• Conduct regular reviews of processes to streamline operations for increased efficiency and productivity
• Conduct reviews of fees and charges and also preparation and submission of annual write-off of the outstanding fees and charges
• Conduct simple data analysis on budgets, fees and charges
Corporate Support
• Facilitate and manage ALG events such as team bonding activities and townhalls that promotes staff engagement
• Supervise a team of support staff to provide PA support to ALG’s Directors and Principals
• Take on secretariat duties for assigned meeting platforms to increase exposure and knowledge of library development.
[What we are looking for]
• Preferably with 2 to 3 years of working experience in corporate and resource management.
• Ability to organise and present information clearly with a good command in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to multi-task, work with details and numbers, meticulous and organised.
• Proactive and able to work independently or in team settings.
• Good conceptual, facilitation, communications, and stakeholder management skills; experience in managing relations with partners is welcome
• Proficient in MS Office.
Work location will be at Geylang East Public Library.
Successful applicant will be appointed on a project contract until 31 Dec 2025.
