- To plan, manage, oversee and be responsible for all aspects of the health, safety and environmental matters for the assigned Project.
- To manage Safey Team to ensure all required duties and responsibilities are discharged professionally and competently.
- To ensure the stipulated number of Personnel are on site throughout the duration of the Contract and ensure its adequacy by monitoring and proposing manpower deployment according to the inspection trend and contractor’s programme
- To prepare and implement the shift duty roster and ensuring compliance with regulations of Ministry of Manpower.
- To attend all the meetings relating to the Project as directed by the SuperintendingOfficer, including attending any safety and environmental meetings,promotions, risk assessments and campaigns.
- Participate actively in site safety management and enforce main contractor's compliance with safety requirements
- To review of main contractor’s proposed method statement in the areas of risk assessment, work plan, standard operating procedures (SOP) and safe working procedure, incident investigation report and to verify that they are properly executed on site.
- Provide regular reports with analysis and assessment conducted on the safety performance of the site.
- Monitor contractor’s safety performance and proactively engage the contractor to improve site safety and contractor's safety management.
- Ensure investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents ar carried out and to record the findings on the relevant forms.
- To liaise and co-ordinate with public authorities and agencies and otherConsultants employed by Client.
- Any other adc-hoc duties assigned by the management
Minimum 10 years of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) experience
in the construction industry, preferably 5 years with developer/main
contractor.
Minimum 5 years of WSH experience in deep excavation works.
Minimum 3 years of experience in managing a team of site safety
personnel.
Possess Engineering, Workplace Safety & Health Disciplines, or
related qualifications.
Registered with MOM as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer
(WSHO) and has been practising as WSHO for at least 5 years.
Has obtained certificate in development of a Risk Management
Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent.
Has obtained certificate in DfS appreciation course.
Conversant with all procedures in Workplace Safety & Health Manual.
