Role Overview:
The SAP SuccessFactors Senior Business Process Consultant is responsible for leading the project planning and delivery of SAP SuccessFactors services. This role involves working closely with customers, sales, pre-sales and other service delivery teams to ensure successful delivery of implementation, optimization, and support projects. The Senior Business Process Consultant will drive business growth, will collaborate with internal stakeholders and will ensure quality in delivering SuccessFactors service engagements.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, business objectives, and how SAP SuccessFactors can address their HR challenges.
• Serve as the module leader during project engagements, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure successful delivery of the Projects.
2. Service Delivery & Project Management:
• Deliver SAP SuccessFactors projects, ensuring they meet quality of the solution and timeline expectations.
• Provide ongoing guidance to clients on best practices for leveraging SAP SuccessFactors, including configuration, integration, and extension.
• Manage risk and scope changes while ensuring project objectives are met.
3. Business Development & Sales Support:
• Collaborate with the services sales team to support new business opportunities related to SuccessFactors services.
• Create and deliver proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and project estimates that align with client needs and business goals.
• Collaborate with pre-sales team during the sales cycle for complex deals to help position SAP SuccessFactors solutions.
• Support overall engagements and help position SAP in new areas like Business AI in the region.
5. Self Development:
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss project status, challenges, and professional development.
• Imbibe a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the SAP SuccessFactors services team.
6. Product Expertise:
• Stay current with industry trends, product updates, and best practices in HR technology and SAP SuccessFactors solutions.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in professional services, project management, or HR technology, with a strong focus on SAP SuccessFactors services.
• Proven experience in managing and delivering SAP SuccessFactors implementations or optimizations from start to finish.
• Previous experience in a business management or client-facing leadership role is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
• Proven track record in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll, including deep understanding of inter-related processes like SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Tracking.
• Desirable to have Knowledge of solution architecture and/or other SAP SuccessFactors modules (Compensation, Learning, etc.)
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
• Ability to influence and negotiate with clients and internal teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

The Project Principal Consultant works for customers covered by a long-term post-sales engagement. An engagement is a collaborative relationship between a customer and individual resources or teams with a specific mandate based on a defined contract.

The aim of this role is to support a long-term engagement between the customer and SAP. The engagement will cover the enterprise-wide adoption, consumption and operation of SAP centric solutions.

Based on a strong organization and peer network combined with a sound understanding of the customer the Project Principal Consultant manages relevant activities to pro-actively support customer initiatives in complex environments and solution usage to ensure adoption and consumption. Project Principal Consultant are often part of front office teams in an advisory role.

Customer Understanding and Situation Analysis

• Analyze current customer situation, maturity of SAP solution operations usage, and IT service delivery
• Understand the strategic direction of the customer and the industry sector the customer is operating in
• Watch SAP innovation, the market and technology development to identify innovation potential for the customer

Engagement Setup

• Align and refine the scope of the engagement with the customer
• Define and agree with customer on engagement roadmap, innovation roadmap, adoption targets, engagement focus areas, and high-level delivery plan
• Drive agreement on goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the engagement with the customer
• Define initial action and service plan with the customer as the starting point for the engagement

Engagement Governance

• Align with account team to define and position collaborative service offerings from SAP
• Align with other internal stakeholders as required
• Facilitate executive meetings, provides an overview of the engagement contribution to demonstrate the value delivered
• Manage engagement performance regarding delivery standards and KPIs

Engagement Development

• Within own area of responsibility identify opportunities at the customer and create a value proposition
• Drive customer retention and Premium Engagement contract renewals
• Drive positioning of SAP's strategic initiatives and focus topics to the customer

Customer Relationship Management

• Establish a trusted relationship with customer
• Own the communication for all engagement related topics between the customer's organization and SAP during the engagement lifecycle
• Capture customer experience (reference calls, videos, success stories, etc.)

Engagement Management and Planning

• Own and manage the customer entitlement while adhering to entitlement or contract guidelines
• Know relevant SAP delivery portfolio for accelerating adoption and maximizing the customer value whilst supporting SAP delivery efficiency
• Define and align a long-term engagement plan based on customer’s projects and top issues

Anticipation and Identification of Risks and Top Issues

• Identify and assess potential issues and risks related to SAP solutions, and associated business processes and customer initiatives
• Provide advice on issue resolution or risk mitigation
• Create an action plan for root-cause analysis and resolution of the customer's issues and top issues.
• Prepare executive briefing to provide background and status on high profile customer top issue(s)

Escalation Management for Critical Situations

• Understand and judge importance of all issues raised, and recommendations given to the customer
• Condense issues to top issues and ensure resolution thereof according to engagement deliverables
• Escalate and manage critical situations to SAP and customer top management when required
• Identify churn or maintenance at risk situations and coordinate measures to reestablish customer's trust in SAP

Engagement Delivery

• Manage execution of the engagement plan by aligning, scheduling, scoping, ordering and supporting the delivery of Premium Engagement services
• Follow up service deliveries to ensure value realization and visibility of value delivered to customer

Documentation and Reporting of Engagement Status, Action and Value

• Regularly report the status of engagement deliverables, accomplishments and value to the customer
• Ensure up-to-date customer information and status is captured in respective systems

Promote Most Relevant Supporting SAP Processes and Tools

• Promote Cloud Application Lifecycle Management (CALM) for Service, SAP for Me, SAP.COM, SAP Help, SAP One Support Launchpad, and others if applicable
• Instruct customer on SAP's Support processes to drive efficient incident resolution

Training and Mentoring Tasks

• Review and participate when needed in presentations given to the customer senior management
• Give input on functional and personal skills training plan to other colleagues in the engagement

Internal Feedback

• Leverage existing channels to provide input to the SAP organization to optimize solutions or offerings
• Provide feedback to processes and highlight improvement potential for SAP engagements

Experience and Educational Requirements

• Can effectively resolve or drive resolution in a structured manner for problems that require the creation of new and innovative approaches
• Understands enterprises of larger size and their solution landscape and contributes to the solution of critical customer issues
• Has a very good understanding of the SAP technology, solutions and services
• Has an excellent understanding of SAP tools and processes
• Has an advanced understanding of cloud delivery principles and methodologies, including but not limited to SAP Activate

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide expert advisory for strategic customer implementing SAP IBP with SAP Business Network integration.
• Provide expertise in S/4HANA BadI for SAP IBP Real-time integration for SAP IBP.
• Provide expert advisory on CI-DS & odata integration for SAP IBP.
• Work on leading customer facing project implementations with focus on IBP solution portfolio.
• Conduct customer workshops to understand business process requirements.
• Advise customer on industry best practices in the area of expertise.
• Configure the requirements in respective solutions.
• Prepare functional specifications and support development teams.
• Conduct testing, training and support for master data migration.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

• Provide remote/onsite SAP consulting services to key SAP customers on SAP IBP including advanced features e.g, ML-Based algorithm.
• Be actively involved in the preparation, design, realization and Go Live of customer implementation projects.
• Demonstrate the ability to plan, run, and manage workshops/meetings with internal and external clients.
• Providing a creative source of ideas/solutions to address customer issues.
• Execution of innovation portfolio serving as primary contact from Customer Success service areas to deploy and implement solutions.
• Proceed with IMG configuration, design/execute implementation packages (e.g. RDS´s, Best practices implementation guides).
• Be able to evaluate affected processes and scenarios. Ensure proper validation of solution implemented by grating minimum test case scenarios execution.
• Get involved with customer scenarios, be able to understand business needs and discuss best approaches to help them.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Solid experience developing/deployment as IBP with Real-time integration with actual project implementations.
• Solid knowledge in SAP ABAP for BadIs.
• Excellent Integration knowledge of S/4HANA and SAP IBP using SAP Cloud Platform Integration – Data Services, RTI and integration with Ariba Business Network.
• Excellent understanding of an integrated and end-to-end supply chain planning process with SAP S/4HANA and SAP IBP solutions.
• Ability and good will to pick up knowledge in new areas.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
