[What the role is]
We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated individual to join the Planning & Foresight team in the role of Manager/ Senior Manager. You should be a hybrid thinker, always curious, excited about problem-solving, and adept at evaluating and synthesising varied inputs to formulate NLB’s strategic directions and priorities. You should be comfortable working across different portfolios, and be up for a challenge. Your job will also require good project management, writing and communication skills to help drive and communicate strategies.
[What you will be working on]
- Identifying drivers, trends and environmental factors of relevance to NLB’s strategies, products and services
- Designing and managing enterprise performance forecasting and tracking
- Driving enterprise level workplanning and resource allocation taking into account opportunities and risks.
- Synthesising and processing insights from libraries and related industries to formulate strategies and scenarios for future-ready libraries, archives, products and services
- Stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and change management
- Coordinating information flows between divisions, writing and presenting organisational narratives and plans.
- Expected to manage, plan and coordinate projects across divisions
[What we are looking for]
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience, prior experience with planning, analysis and/or foresight desired
- Excellent engagement, communication and writing skills.
- Project management experience, and is detail-oriented.
- Have both a creative and analytical mind, with associational thinking required.
- Comfortable in managing uncertainty, and working in and defining unknown spaces.
- Able to work through problems, comfortable with iterative and continuous changes, and is resourceful.
- Self-motivated, driven and works well under pressure.
- Able to work in a dynamic environment across multiple workstreams, and pivoting between individual and collaborative work.
The successful applicant will be appointed on a two-year contract.
