- Report directly to the Project Director/Manager overseeing the WTW system.
- Project Support: Provide technical expertise for the design, development, and construction oversight of the WTW system.
- Coordinate with WTW system designers, vendors, and fabricators, including reviewing drawings, sourcing equipment, and managing cost and schedule control.
- Project Execution: Lead project implementation to meet specified requirements and objectives. Responsibilities include schedule tracking, vendor sourcing and recommendations, cost assessment, resource allocation, addressing inquiries, clarifying technical aspects, supervising project activities, implementing corrective measures, conducting Factory Acceptance Tests, and finalizing as-built documentation.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and resolve issues in deck machinery using technical manuals, hand tools, and power tools.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document all changes, maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Develop operating, maintenance, and safety procedures for the WTW system.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the marine industry or shipyard environment.
- Solid understanding of deck machinery, including winches, cranes, lifting and handling equipment, as well as familiarity with IACS rules and regulations (especially ABS, DNV, BV).
- Specific experience in WTW systems (Offshore Passenger Transfer System) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, hydraulic and electrical systems, and P&ID, with proven troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, with knowledge of structural design as a plus.
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members at all organizational levels.
- Communication: Clear and effective communication skills for interacting with team members, vendors, fabricators, and clients.
- Proven ability to write reports and deliver presentations in English, with Mandarin skills being an added advantage.
- Software Proficiency: Skilled in MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Adobe, and AutoCAD. Familiarity with Primavera scheduling software is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of document control processes, with experience in ISO9001:2015 QAM systems being advantageous.
- Must be willing to travel and work in marine and offshore environments.
