Business Development & Marketing Asst Executive (Tourism Retail)
We are looking for candidates from the Tourism industry, with min. 1.5 years experience in the Tourism industry. Candidates from either TA, OTA or Attractions will be preferred.
As Business Development & Marketing Asst Executive (Tourism Retail), your key responsibilities would include (but not limited to):
- To assist manager to develop new business opportunities in Tourism Retail through extensive networking.
- Assist to capture market share and lead the Company to a strong leadership position in the Tourism Retail sector.
- To achieve contact and collaborations with the different stakeholders in the tourism sector eg tour agencies, tour guides, hotels, companies.
- Generate revenue among the contacts in the extensive networking, including through upselling and cross-selling to the different contacts in your networks.
- Planning and arranging contracts for the collaboration partners.
- Work with BD Sales team to plan and execute tactical campaigns to drive attraction and retail tourism sales.
- MUST KNOW how the Tourism industry and OTA, TA work.
- Work with Marketing team on Company’s Above The Line campaigns and Below The Line advertising for brand and attraction marketing, including creative conceptualization, copywriting, brochure print, distribution management, campaign roll-out and performance reporting through close collaboration with Marketing & BD and Ops departments and marketing and media agencies.
- Work with Marketing team to ensure consistency and accuracy in brand identity and brand marketing.
- Work with Marketing team on long term brand and marketing strategies, provide market insight to create a positive perception of the brand, continuously push and maintain the brand’s position as the Leading Singapore brand in food gifting souvenirs.
- Work closely with team and 3rd party vendors and designers on brand marketing, brand narratives, key messages, conceptualization etc.
- Work with team to develop trade marketing strategies and collaterals to maximize brand's presence in the identified overseas market, travel agent partners' platform and across MICE & Trade channels for Tourism.
- Manages and ensures efficient use of Trade Marketing budget to achieve shared B2B goals.
- Leads regional growth of assigned key markets, (eg. Japan, Asia, India) and proactive preparation for inbound marketing execution according to latest border measures.
- Partner with strategic alliances such as airlines, overseas banks, tour agencies, hotels, and content partners to create awareness for brand to secure pre-departure/advance sales in the identified markets.
- Work closely with Offline and Online Travel Agent/Platforms, ecommerce marketplaces and other Travel & Tourism e-commerce players to market and distribute our brand and products
- Formulate and implement sales and marketing campaigns in relation to tourism
- Monitor & track campaigns performance
- Ensure accuracy of online content for all our products
- Provide market intelligence on overall ecommerce and business trend of the region in relation to tourism
- Timely & accurate execution of pricing changes via the channel managers
- Perform online rate audits & resolve disparity disputes amongst partners
- Work closely with inbound agents and assist on their requests and meet set sales targets.
- Work with team to update weekly, monthly sales reports and assist with annual report preparation.
- Work closely with STB & In-market agents for business development
- Assist in bringing sales for special event promotion and able to conduct familiarization tours and site visit at Flagship store.
Requirements
What we are looking for and believe you need as an ideal candidate:
- For managers, minimum 1.5 years experience in the Tourism sector.
- MUST KNOW how the Tourism industry and OTA, TA work.
- Strong team player with initiative and high level of dedication and ability to perform under pressure.
- Able to cope well in a dynamic and challenging work environment as well as with stress and demanding work schedules
- Ability to work independently and completes given tasks with minimum supervision required
- Self-motivated with the ability to identify key marketing and Public Relations strategies and marketing campaigns
- Confident, meticulous, independent, creative individuals with a strong sense of responsibility and proactiveness
- Highly motivated and well organized with a sense of urgency
- Ability to work towards tight deadlines
- Has excellent command of English (written, verbal and interpersonal), and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong in Microsoft Office is a must.
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
- A Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree.
- Minimum 3 years related or relevant experience for executives
