Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic research team directed by Dr. Qi-Jing Li. You will manage a pioneering initiative focused on developing innovative therapies in the field of cell and gene therapy.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all objectives are met on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, clinicians, regulatory experts, and business development professionals, as well as an esteemed Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) comprising world-renowned experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Coordination: Coordinate and liaise with scientists across different teams to support the success of the research programme.
- Progress Monitoring: Oversee the progress of the programme, track KPIs and other output, and generate reports to assist the PI in monitoring progress.
- Budget and Resource Management: Manage the project budget, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of resources. Monitor project expenditures and make adjustments as necessary to stay within budget.
- Assist in hiring and managing staff.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain regular communication with all project stakeholders, including the SAB, funding bodies, regulatory agencies, and commercial partners. Ensure that stakeholders are informed of project progress and outcomes.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on project status, milestones, and outcomes for senior management and stakeholders. Ensure meticulous documentation of all project activities and findings.
Job Requirements
- Ph.D. in Immunology, Stem Cell Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics or a related field, or, an MBA specialized in project management, or MSc with minimum 3 years’ experience in project management within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multidisciplinary projects from inception to completion will be strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and competence in industry engagement and intellectual property would be advantageous.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Able to prioritise and manage workloads and deliver tasks on time.
- Work effectively and harmoniously in a diverse team.
