The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The Knowledge and Information Partnerships group negotiates and manages Partnerships for content (e.g., data licensing agreements), integrations and commerce. These partnerships help build and differentiate Google’s products in Search, Assistant, Geo (Maps, Local), Ads, and Commerce areas.

The team works to help drive strategy and execution for Knowledge and Information. We focus on delivering thought leadership, operational knowledge, and executive level narratives to help advance Knowledge and Information and Google’s product mission. The team works directly with Knowledge and Information leaders on priority topics across all product areas and helps the global organization identify, plan, and execute against priorities.

As the Strategy and Operations Manager, you will help drive strategic decisions related to product and partnership growth opportunities in priority countries and across the array of products and teams within the Knowledge and Information business and beyond. You will work to execute and coordinate various types of cross-product area or country-level projects while partnering with the Research and Core team to support operations and strategy formulation. You will work with local and global stakeholders within Partnerships, Marketing, Product, and broader Global Business Organization to articulate and synthesize key product priorities and help teams report on progress to executive leadership.

• Partner with the Research and Core team to support strategy formulation and operations.
• Work with Knowledge and Information teams to help set and communicate cross-product area Knowledge and Information country strategy to GBO and other cross-functional stakeholders. Identify areas of collaboration within and across Knowledge and Information and build relationships with local and global stakeholders.
• Support cross-product area efforts like business planning and cross-functional coordination with Product, marketing, GTM, and other functions.
• Support the team on product priorities to positively influence global product strategy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in Sales Operation, Product Strategy, or Strategy Consulting.

• Experience developing frameworks and understanding business constructs and macro-environments.
• Experience with stakeholders and project management, collaborating across various functions.

Assistant Director / Deputy Director, Business Partnership

What you will be working on

As a Branch Head reporting to the Director of Finance, the officer’s responsibilities shall include:

• Lead a team to provide outstanding service delivery in Statutory Reporting, Financial Operations, Cash Management, Grants Administration, Tax and Procurement.
• Partner and guide internal stakeholders on internal financial processes to ensure compliance and seek continuous improvement based on feedback to enhance efficiency.
• Oversee the following areas:

1. Statutory Reporting – audit liaison and timely issuance of group consolidated financial statements.
2. Financial Operations - payments, collections, payroll processing and staff claims.
3. Cash Management – bank reconciliation, bank account management and other banking matters.
4. Grants Administration – claims processing and submission of fund request to funding agencies/ministries.
5. Tax – filing of GST returns and working with tax consultants/IRAS on tax matters relating to overseas attachments.
6. Procurement – provision of advisory and vetting services to procuring Departments to ensure that the activity is executed efficiently and in accordance with Procurement guidelines.
7. Governance and risk management – identify risks and implement controls/action plan to close the gaps.
8. Reporting and returns - timely and accurate reporting/submissions of returns to internal and external stakeholders, including to the Board.

• Ensure effective and efficient service delivery, in compliance with Government Instruction Manuals and standard operating procedures.
• Oversee and coordinate all audit activities related to Branch’s operations.
• Drive mindset of service excellence/transformation to achieve the corporate vision of a High-Performance Organisation.
• Mentor and motivate team members towards achieving professional growth and potential.

What we are looking for

• 8 to 10 years’ working experience in Financial Operations and Statutory Reporting.
• Candidates experienced in manging Government grants and Government Procurement will have an advantage.
• Experienced in leading a medium-sized team for at least 3 years.
• Educational background in Accountancy or Finance would be preferred.
• Candidates who possess relevant Accounting certifications (such as CA, CPA) will have an advantage.
• Strategic and critical thinking with a strong governance mindset.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to design effective communication strategies and messages to influence and achieve desired organisational outcomes.
• Analytical and meticulous, with good monitoring and resource deployment/organization skills
