• Collaboration with Surveyors & QPs: Liaise with surveyors and Qualified Persons (QP) for site inspections and quality control checks.
• Resolve On-Site Issues: Address and resolve technical challenges or issues that arise during construction promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to progress.

Stakeholder Communication & Relationship Management

• Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
• Project Team Meetings: Lead and participate in regular project team meetings to identify and resolve challenges, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
• Maintain Relationships: Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Documentation & Reporting

• Contract & Change Management: Prepare and manage contracts, change orders, and amendments, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
• Progress Reporting: Provide detailed progress reports to senior management and clients, highlighting key developments and issues.
• Invoice & Payment Tracking: Ensure timely submission of invoices and tracking of payments to manage project finances effectively.

Ad-Hoc Responsibilities

• Additional Tasks: Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by senior management to support the successful completion of the project.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Project Management, recognized by BCA.

Experience

• At least 10 years of project management experience, preferably in facade or construction industries.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and MS Office.
• Familiarity with construction management software, project scheduling tools, and cost estimation tools.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, designers, programmers, suppliers, and stakeholders, to plan, execute, and deliver engineering projects focused on green marine systems for marine vessels within defined timelines and budgets.

• Together with core technical teams, conduct feasibility studies, evaluate technical requirements, and develop project specifications and scopes of work for green marine system integration projects.

• Coordinate and oversee engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to project plans, standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Together with technical team, review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation of green marine system designs and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of green marine system projects.

• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.

• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular cost reports to stakeholders.

• Coordinate and track procurement activities for green marine system components.

• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services required for green marine system projects.

• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor installation and integration activities, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications.

• Prepare and deliver project progress reports, presentations, and technical documentation to stakeholders and senior management.

• Manage delivery of documentations, including but not limited to FAT, HAT, SAT, operational and maintenance manuals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Project Engineer, Marine Superintendent or similar role in the marine, shipbuilding or relevant industry, with a strong track record of successfully delivering engineering projects.

• Knowledge of marine vessels systems, including electric motors, generators, batteries, power management systems, and control systems is an advantage.

• Familiarity with marine vessel propulsion systems, including diesel engines, gas turbines, and electric propulsion technologies.

• Proficiency in using engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and project management software.

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.

• Knowledge of procurement processes and experience in managing supplier relationships.
