Role Summary

The Project Engineer of our Clean Factory Automation department is a highly specialized position responsible for managing a team of engineers, subcontractors, and vendors on a project site involving the installation of our warehouse automation systems. The Project Engineer has high familiarity on Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) and understands the technical requirements involved in the installation of such systems. • Minimum Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field of studies

a) Lead and oversee assigned Projects of existing or new customers:

1. Lead and rally relevant resources from Mold Shop, Manufacturing, QA, Materials to manage Project activities and timeline to ensure customers’ expectations and requirements are met.
2. Communicate effectively with customers and provide all necessary services to ensure customer satisfaction during project phase.
3. Carried out product costing and analysis
4. Ensure the following Project tasks are carried out effectively :

• Perform Team feasibility, DFM (design for manufacturing), mold flow analysis etc.
• Manage project expenses like tooling, materials, other project expenses etc to meet budget.
• Ensure material availability for testing and initial production start up.
• Perform mold test, part measurements to meet product specifications.
• Perform proper documentation of Project File that includes Product drawings, Tool DFM, Mold tests, window studies, Molding parameters, project schedule, etc.

b) Ensure smooth and proper handover of Projects to Production. Conduct training to relevant parties to ensure knowledge and lesson learnt are documented and know how are transferred in a sustainable manner.

c) Familiarize with ISO 13485 / 9001 standards and any special customer standards eg Certified Supplier Program and ensure necessary documentations and practices comply with these standards.

d) Participate actively in Management initiatives to resolve critical issues, improve overall operational performances / productivities etc.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Assist Project Manager and his deputy on day-to-day management, site technical/ engineering matters and authority submissions.

· Prepare method statements, monthly progress claims measurement and reports.

· Co-ordinate with sub-contractors and consultants.

· Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the Project Quality & Safety Plan, contract requirements, including drawings and specifications

· Supervise and monitor projects are carried out in accordance to company’s operating procedures, quality standards & contractual specifications.

· Interpret engineering documents and drawings for field personnel

· Ensuring environmental, safety and health practices are carried out at all times.

· Perform other duties / tasks as assigned by immediate superior or Head of department.

Requirements

· Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised by PE Board/ BCA

· Min. 1 year work experience in Civil Engineering projects

· Proficient in MS Office

· Strong and clear communication skills with proven ability to engage others

· Organised, meticulous with positive work attitude

· Able to work independently and a team player

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage project upon tasked.
• Interpret specifications and prepare document for submission.
• Liaise with customers on technical clarifications, submission, approval, schedule, variation claims.
• Prepare training material and conduct switchboard training.
• Prepare material list for switchboards for ordering.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from recognized university.
• At least 2-year relevant experience will be added advantage.
• Possessed reasonable communication skills in English, verbally and written.
• Able to use computer using Microsoft windows software, autocad software.
