Purpose of the Role

You will be a part of the Asian Investment Banking Division (“AIBD”) that sits in the front line, responsible for the promotion of Corporate & Investment Banking (“CIB”) products and services in the Asia and Oceania region, covering both Global Corporates and Japanese Corporates. The Portfolio Management Department is a key function in AIBD that takes over the management of structured loans originated in AIBD, including real estate, oil and gas, infrastructure, renewables, energy and utilities, to monitor and enhance the credit quality of the portfolio through direct engagement of external and internal stakeholders and through credit risk assessment and support.

Your role will entail managing a portfolio of structured finance assets across Asia originated in Project Finance (power, natural resources, and infrastructure) and Shipping Finance. A key objective of the role is to provide strategic insight to the portfolio as first line of defence.

Job Responsibilities:

You will play an important role in our team by taking on responsibilities that include (but are not limited to):

Client Management and Strategy

• Active management of the overall risk profile of assets throughout project life, including ongoing monitoring of client and project conditions, proactive risk identification, recommendation of risk mitigants, and Management reporting.

Job Purpose

As a part of the Wealth Management team in Emirates NBD Bank, the Wealth Management Business Support Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient, compliant, and effective functioning of daily business operation within the Singapore Wealth Management business. The role will work closely with various team across the front office, business management, control parties, operation, and head office, ensuring our platform, products and processes adhere to the highest standards. The aim is to drive operational excellence and support the seamless delivery of products and services to clients.

In addition, being part of a small team that is scaling up on business growth, WM Business Support Associate will have the opportunity to be part of a wide variety of wealth management strategic projects and initiatives wider than just business as usual activities.

Job Description

The Business Support Associate will be responsible for ensuring that the Singapore Wealth Management team’s operations align with the investment framework, conduct key control assessments, manage business rules, and support the ongoing development of the wealth management platform and product offerings. Key activities include:

• Conducting key control adequacy assessments to identify risk and recommending improvement for governance and operational integrity
• Performing quality checks on trade orders and CRM evaluations to maintain compliance and operational standards
• Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of the investment/ wealth management framework, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements
• Managing updates to platform rules and communication changes for internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with internal standards
• Providing ongoing support to wealth advisors by preparing reports to ensure client portfolio align with investment objectives and reviewed in timely manner
• Participating in process/ platform enhancements to drive greater efficiency and productivity for the SG WM business
• Contributing to the wider development of the WM proposition for the SG branch active engagement product development and platform build initiatives
• Collaborating with other departments in the SG branch in order to farther achievement of branch goals whilst promoting SG WM goals

Job Requirements

• With at least 5 years of relevant working experience
• Understanding of Wealth Management business operations, governance, risk management principles
• Experience in business support role within wealth management
• Familiarity with investment/ wealth management framework
• Understanding of the Wealth Management industry and associated products including capital market flow and structured products, OTC derivatives, managed fund solutions, alternative investments, etc.
• Good collaborative and interpersonal skills
