Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent experience
• 1 - 3 years' of experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager

• Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
• Previous experience in the marine or engineering industry is a plus

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure projects meet internal and client expectations for quality, budget, delivery timelines, and strategy, complying with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards to avoid Liquidated Damages (LD).
• Monitor project cash flow, ensuring timely submission of progressive payment claims and managing budgets, cash flow projections, and cost variance reporting.
• Review and approve WSH documents (e.g., Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Safe Work Procedures, Fall Prevention Plans, Lifting Plans, Safety Management Systems, Permits to Work).
• Ensure all work is executed safely in compliance with approved safety standards.

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our team! In a construction team, the Project Engineer works under the guidance of the Project Manager in the execution of construction projects. Candidates who possess suitable qualities will be closely mentored to gain both technical and management qualities. It is a role with good developmental potential as candidates can eventually pursue a career in Project Management, Safety Management or Professional Certifications.

Job Description:

• Assist with on-site management to ensure project success
• Assisting to plan for the progress of various projects through the deployment of manpower, equipment and logistics
• Assist in the preparation of technical documents, such as construction drawings
• Work together with other members of the team to effectively execute the operations plan
• Assist in the safety and risk management of operations
• Other ad hoc duties as required

Job Requirement:

• 1 or 2 years of working experience as a Project Engineer would be an advantage.
• Both fresh graduate and experienced candidates are welcome to apply (mature and non-mature).
• Recent postgrads with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferably Mechanical & Electrical / Civil Engineering / Environmental.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills and Construction knowledge.

Working Day: Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 9am to 6pm

1. Assist project manager with day to day on-site monitoring, project implementation and scheduling.

2. To schedule, co-ordinate, implement and manage projects- in part or wholly- to ensure timely work progress, goods or services delivery on schedule, while taking into account the budgeted qualities and cost.

3.Ensuring that work is carried out according to approved plans, regulations and contract specifications.

4. Accountable for the safety and quality of the project.

5.Conduct project progress meetings, as well as reviewing schedules.

6.Manage the project team’s training.

7.Liaising with consultants and sub-contractors.

8.Prepare method statement, proposal, test plan, acceptance plan and timeline schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager as the case may require.

9. Accountable for preparing weekly/ monthly progress reports.

10.Ability to read AUTOCAD / Schematic preferable.

11.Perform ad hoc duties as assign by superiors.

5.25 days work week, alternate Saturday.

8.30am to 6pm.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Degree in Project Management.
• Positive attitude, including being self-motivated, responsible, and taking ownership of work.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Possess class 3 driving license.
