The Senior Business Development Associate is responsible for new business acquisition, and onboarding of merchants.

He/She will be responsible for generating, qualifying, nurturing and closing potential leads for the various services that Ninja Van Singapore provides. During the onboarding period, the incumbent will also be expected to resolve all issues that may arise from client’s unfamiliarity of our services.

Responsibilities

• New Business Acquisition
• Schedule meetings with potential prospects to understand service requirements of clients
• Acquire new clients to increase country revenue
• Pitch operational requests to internal stakeholders to help meet clients’ requirements and SLAs
• Prepare sales proposals, presentation decks, profitability analysis and contract documents
• Compliance to sales process and legal compliance
• Educate clients on the basic requirements of Ninja Van’s service
• Lead Generation and Qualification
• Creatively seek and reach out to key decision makers of potential leads
• Respond to and qualify inbound leads in a timely manner
• Import and maintain data of leads in Salesforce CRM
• Ensure that clients’ business is a good fit for Ninja Van
• Account Management
• Build and maintain positive working relationships and strong rapport with accounts for high account retention and client satisfaction
• Identify ways to increase sales revenue and wallet shares with existing accounts
• Monitor and ensure promised delivery SLAs are met

Requirements

• 2 - 5 years of experience in a business development and client-facing role
• Diploma in any field or higher, Degree preferred
• Experienced in sales negotiation, analysing pricing strategies and solutioning
• Experience with end-to-end sales pipeline management and closing large, strategic deals
• Manage enquiries and complaints with tact and professionalism
• Good team player with ability to interact with all levels
• Proactive, curious and entrepreneurial
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

1.⁠ ⁠Logistics Planning and Coordination

- Develop and implement logistics plans to ensure efficient transportation and distribution of goods.

- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

- Plan and schedule shipments to optimize delivery times and reduce costs.

2.⁠ ⁠Inventory Management

- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to prevent shortages or excess.

- Maintain accurate inventory records and forecast demand to ensure timely replenishment.

- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and losses.

3.⁠ ⁠Transportation Management

- Select and manage transportation providers to ensure reliable and cost-effective delivery services.

- Negotiate transportation rates and contracts with carriers.

- Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and address any issues that arise during transit.

4.⁠ ⁠Process Improvement

- Analyze logistics processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize logistics operations.

- Conduct regular reviews and audits of logistics performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

5.⁠ ⁠Stakeholder Communication

- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, and customers, to ensure smooth logistics operations.

- Provide regular updates on shipment status and address any concerns or issues promptly.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics strategies with overall business objectives.

6.⁠ ⁠Compliance and Documentation

- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to transportation and logistics.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all logistics activities.

- Prepare and present reports on logistics performance and KPIs to management.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for assigned annual revenue/ shipper acquisition targets and acquisition targets for outbound acquisitions
• Ensure Ninja is growing market share on Worldwide (ex. China) - SEA cross border ecommerce logistics
• Understand and scope target customer segments/ addressable markets to facilitate outbound acquisition
• Make outbound prospecting communications to build and manage lead development pipeline via networking, research and marketing initiatives
• Maintain well organized, up-to-date and accurate sales information and activity reports in Salesforce CRM system
• Provide inputs to marketing / commercial teams on shipper profiles / client segments the team wants to acquire
• Give feedback to commercial / solutions team to impact pricing decisions/ internal sales process
• Receive and respond to inbound inquiries from potential customers
• Qualify sales leads based on specific lead qualification criteria

Requirements

• Previous experience in last mile logistics or 3PL management or similar activities advantageous
• Knowledge of sales process and activities
• Have experience hunting, acquiring and selling through consultative approach
• Able to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, in English, and one other Asian language.
• Strong presentation skills
• Able to influence and negotiate with others using active listening and persuasion skills
• Ability to analyze data to identify operation issues and solutions
• Possess a positive attitude when dealing with complicated, trouble shipper issues

The Business Intelligence team partners closely with the management team/ business functions to understand their needs and then meet these needs by analyzing and translating relevant data into meaningful, actionable outputs.

The team will have broad reach into a variety of teams and projects within Ninja Van. Members of the team must have the ability to gain deep subject matter depth on operational and commercial requirements, synthesizing business knowledge with data methodologies in order to create real and actionable insights. Untangling and understanding business problems, then applying analytical methods and tools to deliver outcomes would be the name of the game.

Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Planning, the Business Intelligence Manager will lead and manage our team of analysts. In addition to defining and executing analytical projects, key activities for the role involve owning and driving the data roadmap and strategy for the organization, as well as in stakeholder management and team development. Success for this role will be about leading the team in converting data opportunities into value in partnership alongside relevant business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Data Management

• Define and lead the data strategy and roadmap for the organization
• Constantly stay abreast of changing business needs and requirements, aligning sprints to data initiatives that best support current needs
• Develop and maintain a centralized taxonomy of data definitions and tools in partnerships with operational counterparts

Data Projects

• Identify business areas or gaps whereby data solutions can potentially shape or guide organizational level decisions

Stakeholder Engagement and Management

Team Development and Monitoring

• Mentor and lead the team of data analysts

Requirements

• At least 4 years of working experience, preferably in an analytical field
• Preferably at least 2 years managing an analytical team
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields (i.e. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics) or a related discipline
• Expert in SQL
• Proficient in Python/ R, or other data analytics tool
• High level of self-motivation, with strong desire to deliver quality work that does not compromise with personal standards
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convince and manage stakeholders through logical, data- driven methodologies
