We are seeking an individual with Building Management Systems technical experience for the position of BMS Project Engineer at Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Singapore operations.  The candidate will work directly with the BMS Project Manager and the subcontractors throughout the design and construction phase of the largest multistory data center in Asia (The Project).

Reporting to the BMS Project Manager, the candidate will be accountable for ensuring the work required; such as, submittals, RFI’s, coordination drawings, updating documents, etc., are complete, ready, and approved for the Building Management Systems (BMS) Subcontractors to perform their scope of work in the strictest of compliance to the contract documents.  This role is focused on working with the Senior Commissioning Manager and BMS Project Manager who are responsible for the BMS Subcontractor operations and installation for a large complex data center project, having stringent technical requirements.

Responsibilities:

Summary

As the Deputy Director, you lead the Strategy and Governance unit and manage strategic and corporate planning needs for the organisation, working closely with Dsg Senior Management and the units to align organisational goals.

About the Strategy & Governance Unit

The Strategy and Governance (S&G) unit develops the strategies and directions for the organisation, to realise its vision of creating an innovation driven economy and a loveable city by design. The unit comprises two teams:

1. The Strategic Planning & Futures team is responsible for long-term planning and strategy development. Specific work entails facilitation of annual workplanning, formulation of design masterplan, driving Strategic Futures initiatives, and conducting research and insighting, as required to support Dsg’s interests.
2. The Corporate Planning & Governance team is responsible for optimising organisational effectiveness, involving enterprise risk management, knowledge management, data governance, budget planning, impact tracking, and other organisation-wide processes. The team also manages and provides secretariat support to Dsg Advisory Board.

Responsibilities

This position reports to the Deputy Executive Director or the Director of Strategy and Governance. There are three main responsibilities for this role:

Strategic Planning & Futures

• Work closely with Dsg Senior Management in setting direction, identifying focus areas and prioritising efforts to ensure organisation leadership for the industry, with the aim to develop a robust design ecosystem in Singapore.
• Support Dsg units by translating strategies into actionable steps or unit-specific workplans, to help refine unit-specific programmes and initiatives.
• Drive research workstreams within the organisation, both led by S&G and proposed by other units.
• Lead the management and development of Strategic Planning & Futures initiatives, ranging from partnership development, white papers, strategy reviews, toolkits, workshops and others.

Corporate Planning & Governance

• Lead corporate planning for the organisation, to ensure its governance and optimal operations.
• Drive Corporate Planning & Governance workstreams within the organisation; including metrics and performance tracking, risk management, data governance with compliance to PDPA, policy development, budgeting, operation frameworks development, process reviews, work-planning session and others.
• Support Dsg units by managing and optimising processes to support unit-specific programmes and initiatives.
• Co-ordinate and liaise with other government agencies and ministries for impact reporting, securing funding and supporting whole-of-government workstreams.
• Manage all matters relating to Dsg Advisory Board.

Team Management

• As a team manager, you lead budget management and a dynamic team of 3-5 staff to achieve work targets. Beyond supervision, your leadership will make a significant impact on team success by inspiring collaboration, fostering individual growth, and shaping a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of working experience in strategic and corporate planning, ideally within government agencies. Experience with research, budgeting, process development, strategic planning methodologies, futures thinking or work-planning facilitation would be an advantage but is not required.
• At least 5 years of leadership responsibilities, with proven skills in leading projects and project teams
• A strong passion for design, especially the design and creative ecosystem in Singapore.
• Strong analytical ability; able to interpret and synthesise data, provide insights, and develop or augment strategies.

• Design, Govern and standardize Regional Demand Planning tools and processes to synergise with both Global and BU Demand Planning processes to align to common business requirements.

• Be the APAC voice in Super User Networks and collaborate with other Market Groups on the future design and improvement of tools and processes.

•Design and orchestrates the implementation of demand planning processes and/or automated solutions to address process pain points, system gaps, controls, and business and functional requirements

• Lead TLG Demand Planning Training, onboard new demand planners and provide end user training for future continuous improvement of Demand Planning systems and tools.

• Monitor data ingestion to identify error exceptions and ensure operational integrity to support the delivery of weekly and monthly demand signals to downstream Global and MG processes.

• Key escalation point towards end user of the Demand Planning tools on 1st level issue resolution

• Collaborate with stakeholders across functions to identify and resolve identified discrepancies to ensure end-to-end processes and capabilities are cohesive and coherent

• Establish capabilities within both Regional and BU Demand Planning, including Continuous Improvement to stay relevant and be proactive to changes

• Translating business goals and metrics into business process outcomes and related business cases for specific projects.
