• Work with relevant teams to ensure all internal controls and compliance procedures covering all business activities of Global Banking are supportive for growth, customer oriented, and in line with Group / local regulatory standards.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

The job holder will ideally have knowledge and experience in the following areas:

• Proven leadership and relationship management skills in dealing with all levels, with the confidence to interact with executive & senior management and make measured decisions which may have far reaching implications
• Exceptional drive and commitment; ability to work and thrive in a fast changing, results driven environment; and proven ability in handling competing priorities
• Sound judgment, decision making and problem solving abilities
• A self-starter who is not afraid to speak up and face a challenge; also open to listen to guidance and learn as they go
• Sound understanding of the HSBC Global Banking strategy, commercially minded and customer focused
• Strong influencing, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
• Excellent communication (written & verbal), planning and organisation skills
• An inquisitive mind who is not afraid to challenge the status quo, continuously look at ways to improve processes
