Requirements

· Able to understand electrical drawing, specifications and requirements skills and experience required.

· Degree in Electrical engineering or diploma holder with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

· Worked in on A & A projects and/or Design and Build in various type of projects with different nature.

· Technically competent across the full range of electrical systems, ELV System, Project Lighting, Building Intelligent System and relevant skill set and competencies.

· Proven track records of successful project completion on time and on budget.

· Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all level of staff.

· Possess the relevant safety certifications like SCWSH / BCSS.

· Ability to coordinate and communicate with relevant site people to execute work Excellent time management and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

As an Engineering & Business Development Intern, you will be responsible for designing and presenting customised engineering systems to the company’s prospective clients and ensuring deliverables of the system. You will be contributing to the Engineering team in the following key areas:

Engineering:

• Understand the process of microtunneling and pipe jacking, and its supporting equipment supply scope, such as the automatic bentonite lubrication system, slurry management system, gyro navigation and more.

• Understand customers’ project requirements and assist in designing and proposing suitable systems/solutions.

• Support the engineering team in providing technical information to potential clients.

• Support the engineering team in ensuring all deliverables of the system are achieved during and after setup.

Business Development:

• Source new products that will help to enhance our product offerings and value-add (e.g. chemicals, new equipment or parts for relevant industries).

• Research on relevant engineering systems/solutions across the world and present applicable solutions for construction projects in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive new projects from Sales team

• Prepare project documentation (MOS, RA, SWP, permits…)

Quality Assurance / Health & Safety Support
Administer Project Management resources to assist QA / H&S to:
Ensure compliance to QA / H&S requirements;
Recommend penalties for subcontractor non-compliance to QA / H&S requirements.
Ensure follow-up to site quality inspection (by external consultant) comments.

Operations Support
Administer Project Management resources to assist the Operations to:
Incorporate construct ability inputs from the Operations in design drawings;
Ensure the timely receipt of design drawings for subcontractor tender.
Attend the respective site meetings on a monthly basis or assigned projects.
Ensure that the site managers / engineer attend their respective design meetings on a monthly basis

Meetings
Conduct Client design kick-off meetings for assigned projects and subsequently, monitor such follow-on meetings.
Conduct internal design meetings for assigned projects and subsequently, monitor such follow-on meetings.
Prepare and attend pre-construction meetings with Business Development and Operations for assigned projects.
Co-chair internal design review meetings with Project Management for assigned projects.
Conduct monthly Client project-update meetings for assigned projects.
Provide project updates to the Deputy Director (Projects) or Assigned Senior Project Manager as and when required.

Operation Support
Recommend Client progress claims for assigned projects.
Review and Recommend on variation advices to Clients for assigned projects.
Approve on site/ keys handover to the Client for assigned projects.


Project Responsibilities
Coordinate and verify subcontractor proposals for assigned projects during the award stage.
Ensure compliance to cost report submission timelines.
Negotiate subcontractor deductions for project non-compliance and breaches.
Flow through of Client contract obligations to the subcontractors;
Project schedule and site progress;
Project cost and budget adherence;
Project cash flow and adherence to Client progress claims;
Formal project certifications, including handover certificates;
Defect rectification progress, particularly during the handover / final statement claim stage;
Any legal claims from the Client or subcontractor;
Maintaining relationships with the Client;
