Work with the Secretary-General and the Secretariat in strategy development and mobilizing resources and engage in building partnerships with donor and member countries, UN agencies, development financial institutions and global programme partnerships, at global, regional, and country levels.

Under the supervision of the Secretary-General, the incumbent supports overall effort to build partnerships, reporting functions, and mobilize an appropriate and sustainable funding base for IRSG from traditional and non-traditional sources. S/he will support the Secretary-General in developing partnerships building, donor mapping, and resource mobilization strategy, tools and procedures and coordinates their implementation including development of quality proposals, presentation and briefing papers to donors.

(2) PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO THE SECRETARY-GENERAL

The incumbent will act in this capacity as the Strategy and Resource Mobilization Adviser to the Secretary-General, acting as a sounding board for ideas and ensuring enhanced efficiency and structure across the organisation. S/he is also expected to provide strategic advice and guidance on key developments within the organisation and ensure the appropriate policy approaches are developed to meet IRSG’s mission and objectives. As a result of developing and maintaining research, s/he would be expected to develop initiatives that ensure that IRSG acts as a catalyst for the rubber sector and collaborates with stakeholders on developing evidence-based approaches and support.
