Job Description

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of electricians and other electrical workers during installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
• Assign duties, examine work for accuracy, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety regulations.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Prepare sketches and follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment, and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
• Ensure that all safety procedures are followed.

Job Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and components.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Requirements:

• Certificate in machine shop technology or machine tool technology/machinist.
• 3 years’ experience in mechanical assembly is preferred.
• Recognized apprenticeship may be required.
• Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
• Understanding of mathematics.
• Ethical behavior.
• Attention to detail and self-motivation.
