Job Description

The Engineer will be responsible for driving electro-mechanical product development in compliance with ISO 13485 standards across multiple levels, from component to product. The role includes planning and monitoring New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, managing engineering changes, and maintaining documentation, including Design History Files. The position requires close coordination with both internal and external suppliers, adhering to Quality Management System and regulatory standards.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years in electro-mechanical systems.
• Technical proficiency in optimizing designs for mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
• Solid understanding of metal and plastic manufacturing processes for product design.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks), including GD&T and kinematic calculations.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Candidate will be involved in industry projects and use 3D printing technology and other post processes to build parts using polymer reinforced fiber composite materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Operate equipment to perform 3D printing and relevant post-processes (e.g. cam-based systems), mechanical charaterisation such as tensile, bending, compression tests and inspection (e.g., CMM) as part of the industry project.

-Responsible for generating jig and fixturing 2D/3D drawings for documentation and archiving purposes.

-Manage and work with local machining house for jig and fixture fabrication and assembly.

-Carry out routine maintenance, diagnostics checks and engage equipment vendors for preventive maintenance.

-Perform function testing to verify equipment readiness after maintenance or material change.

-Plan equipment schedule, maintain and improve lab environment. Manage raw feedstock and maintain stock/inventory list.

-Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

-NITEC or Diploma in engineering related qualifications.

-At least 5-year work experience in manufacturing roles within the aerospace / MRO / oil and gas / manufacturing industry. Candidates with > 5-year experience will be considered for a senior role.

-Capabilities in CAD and 2D drawings using NX/SolidWorks, with knowledge in GD&T will be beneficial.

-Traditional methods of inspections such as CMM/handheld measurement tools and preparation of FAI documents is preferred.

-Familiarity in handling CAM based systems such as robotic system/CNC is an added advantage.

-Methods of processing and post processing of plastic parts such as prototyping of plastic parts and knowledge in fixture design for machining is preferred.
