We have an exciting and highly confidential opportunity with one of the world’s most iconic brands. They are looking for a Apparel Product Developer to join their dynamic team on a 1-month contract, with excellent potential for multiple renewals and additional headcount opportunities!

- Coordinates the product development process – digital and physical - from initial concept to commercialization ready for assigned products, according to critical dates, product specification, sustainability, performance, and profitability goals.
- Provides support within product development teams and with cross-functional partners in areas related to materials and trims, garment construction, development process, cost negotiation, sustainability and quality risk mitigation.
- Collaborates with design, product management and technical design and factories to effectively execute product development goals and deliverables.
- Creates and maintains appropriate documentation for assigned products; ensures all appropriate development documentation is completed, including product specs, costing and prototype notes.
- Tracks and facilitates sampling and prototyping for products; identifies and addresses key issues and challenges in construction/manufacturing and plans accordingly to deliver proven and tested product.
- Monitors and communicates progress and challenges throughout the product testing process to meet product integrity requirements.
- Keeps abreast of team goals, new technology, market trends and consumer needs throughout the development process.

The team of designers, technical designers, product management, developers, testers, engineers, and managers obsess over iconic silhouettes and create groundbreaking new styles. They collaborate, ideate and refine products’ construction, fit and materials. They skillfully operate at the intersection of the consumer, technical feasibility and business objectives. And they work lockstep with manufacturing, factories and others to produce the final result: products that reflect the soul of sport and inspire athletes to reach new levels of performance
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in apparel development and/or manufacturing, or relevant experience.
- Knowledge of apparel development and manufacturing, digital product creation, garment fit, construction, craft, materials, trims, print and graphic execution, and costing
- Ability to read product specs and understand complex constructions
- Believes in continuous self-improvement, leading with empathy, compassion and teamwork
- Team player; able to effectively work in a dynamic work environment with high inter-dependencies between teams, cross-cultural colleagues, and diverse and innovative thinking
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objective; problem solving skills; proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Digital 3D Garment program will be an advantage.
