I) Job Purpose:
The Production Supervisor (Food Processing) is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of our food processing facility. He/she is to in-charge of the overall production activities, and monitor the staff’s performance. He/she must ensure that all staff adhere to the HSE rules & regulations, and to abide and upkeep the food processing & quality standards.
II) Roles & Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Production Line: Determining sequence of daily operations, and the use of proper tools / equipment. Overseeing the safety of the food preparation process by inspecting equipment and facilities to ensure safety standards are fulfilled. Monitoring employee attendance, performance, and productivity to ensure that all staff members are performing their jobs efficiently.
- Inventory and Resource Management: Monitor materials and supplies, coordinating with purchasing and logistics department to avoid production delays.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, quality checks, and shift reports for internal and regulatory purposes.
- Team Leadership: Direct and train the co-workers, monitor their performance, and to ensure the overall cohesiveness and efficient team.
- Quality Control: Carry out checks / inspections to ensure that the products meet food safety and quality standards. To address to quality issues promptly as and when required.
- Compliance: Enforce adherence to health, safety, and food manufacturing regulations.
- Training: Providing training to staff members on food safety practices and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement in work processes, and to implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Any other work as assigned.
III) Job Requirements:
- Permanent night shift (10pm to 7am), 6-days week from Tuesdays to Sundays.
- Able to work in a very cold environment due to frozen seafood storage.
IV) Qualifications and Skills:
- GCE ‘O’ Level or higher academic qualification.
- Familiarity with food manufacturing processes, equipment, and industry-specific safety standards. Understanding of production equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide production staff, including conflict resolution and team-building.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Effectively managing production timelines, resources, and schedules.
V) Experience:
At least 3 years of working experience in a related field.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary Range: $3,000 to $4,500 (Salary commensurate according to experiences)
