Scrum Master/Product Owner (Life Insurance)
This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute towards meeting the customer leads for one of the leading life insurers.
The Scrum Master/Product Owner in the Life Insurance Product Implementation Team is responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of life insurance products, including compliance with governance, scope, budget, and risk management.
This role involves working within an Agile team to prioritize backlogs, define user stories, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery for an established global life insurance company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full life insurance product life cycle, ensuring alignment with governance, timeline, and budget, with proper risk controls.
- Own user stories and backlogs to prioritize builds, ensuring the scope and acceptance criteria is clearly understood and aligned with key objectives
- Ensure products meet compliance and business requirements, including regulatory approvals, governance requirements, Operational risks requirements, non-functional requirements, and implementation and market adoption requirements.
- Engage with internal and external functions including service delivery, and vendors.
- Communicate regularly with platform and key stakeholders and report progress, ensuring all parties maintain visibility of the backlogs.
- Act as an escalation point for blockers and dependencies. Resolve blockers and facilitate team collaboration as well as mitigate risks to delivery outcomes.
Requirements:
- At least 6 years of experience in life or health insurance product management.
- Strong business and technical knowledge, with strong expertise in Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Proven ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and manage complex projects.
- Excellent decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills.
