Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage production staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
• Coordinate daily production activities and allocate resources effectively.
• Understand production schedules and prioritize production sequence - Packaging materials and Raw materials
• Ensure that all products meet quality standards and specifications. Prefer with experience of CGMP, HACCP or ISO Standards
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures and processes.
• Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in the development and execution of production plans to meet customer demands.
• Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to optimize efficiency.
• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and procedures.
• Conduct regular quality audits and safety inspections and address any hazards or violations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports on production performance.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to management.
• Train and mentor production staff to enhance their skills and performance.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

Requirements

• Candidate with 4-5 years of hands-on experience and minimum of 2 years leading teams
• Basic Computer Knowledge and MS Office Knowledge
• Proficient in Mandarin and English as need to liaise daily with Mandarin and English speaking associates
• Experience in Food Manufacturing preferred
• Able to work interdependently with a high level of initiative and resourcefulness.
• IT Skills and experience in SAP / EWM or related ERP system will be an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support in process engineering to facilitate production operations.
• Advice, support and carry out machine acceptance tests, qualification, and validation of production processes and equipment.
• Lead or participate in the investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for various production events and equipment failures; ensure that all relevant CAPAs are completed timely.
• Ensure adequate preventive & predictive maintenance to reduce equipment failures while maintaining quality and productivity; ensure adequate spare part inventory to meet the critical maintenance requirement.
• Work with and supervise vendors/contractors to ensure installation, repairs, or maintenance works are carried out timely and with minimal disruption to operations.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, ISO standards, EHS standards, and other relevant policies/standards.
• Ensure workplace safety and be responsible for notifying Management in a timely manner of EHS/GMP deficiencies.
• Support plant automation, Industry 4.0, and digital manufacturing initiatives.
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements:

• Tertiary education in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of related experience as a manufacturing process engineer in a Cosmetic, Food, or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment
• Well versed in GMP
• Good experience in automation and Industry 4.0 plant will be useful for work.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Systematic and able to work under pressure
• Excellent analytical and good engineering problem-solving skills, workload resource planning, and prioritization skills
• An independent self-starter and a strong team player

As an Production Manager, some of your additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for all production operations, machinery and equipment in the department
• Oversee day to day production and maintenance operations and coordinate flow of work between various sections/departments
• Ensure optimizing of profitability by effective management of manufacturing costs, quality and productivity standards
• Plan the production schedule, material allocation and manpower resources to ensure production is operating smoothly and efficiently and adopt good manufacturing practices
• Trouble-shoot, identify and resolve production problems that may arise
• Ensure compliance to all applicable government regulations and facilitate required licensing and certifications
• Ensure timely reporting on production output, materials usage, inventory etc.
• Commission new product lines and supervise production pilot runs
• Provide supervision and guidance to all manufacturing staff; manage, discipline and evaluate the performance of staff and recommend relevant training and advancement
• Any other ad hoc duties or projects assigned by senior management

Requirements:

• At least 3 years relevant experience in food manufacturing industry
• Can converse with English and Mandarin speaking production staff and internal staff at all levels
• Able to multi-task and lead production workers on daily basis
