A day in the life of a Senior Product Development Specialist…

• Proactively propose and drive new ideas/projects/methods to R&D Center, Strategic Business Units and markets aligned with consumer trends
• Build and document knowledge about latest methods, trends and developments in relevant field of activity (R&D report, notes, patents, etc)
• Explore breakthrough process or technology that are patentable
• Actively promote Idea to Launch (I2L) Mindset and ways of working (including system)
• Give operational assistance in industrialization start-ups and product improvements following the technical assistance way of working
• Integrate Scientific, Technology, Quality and Safety and Environment knowledge into business
• Recommend, plan and deliver technical and scientific support for Ice Cream projects
• Lead and manage knowledge building and business related project activities with a proactive participation
• Present results/methods in written and oral form to interested parties or stakeholders
• Ensure Idea to Launch (I2L) project execution using Idea to Launch (I2L) ways of working and tools
• Suggest, create and improve ice cream prototypes
• Coordinate with local contracted ice cream manufacturers and/or markets to execute scale up of prototypes
• Provide accurate and on-time support to markets with effective (quality, cost and on-time) and sustainable solutions
• Actively participate in expert network to promote cross-fertilization between different sites
• Provide competency development and coaching to global Application (AG) Ice cream Team

Under general autonomy, manages production, distribution, and marketing operations for a manufacturing center. Administers plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and staff. Ensures compliance with appropriate quality and safety programs. Collaborates with other manufacturing and service functions to ensure the efficient exchange of information, products, and services. Job role directly impacts manufacturing center's quality of service. Job role contributes directly to value creation.

Requirements:

Completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations and management experience.
