The Product Engineer (Cyber Security) is the technical expert supporting the sales and prospecting lifecycle from pre-sales, deployment to post-sale support. The product engineer will be part of a small team trialling, evaluating and incubating new products and services for the cybersecurity services business unit, and will be intimately involved in understanding new cyber security products, understand the technical architecture of the solution, work with clients to understand and to integrate the solution into clients’ environments, and supporting them in post-sales support. The product engineer should be curious and keen in learning about, and working on new cyber security products, and work on translating them into new service offerings.

The Product Engineer is knowledgeable and specialized on several aspects (technical, procedural, operational,) in at least one of the following domains: Cloud Operations and Security; Cloud Monitoring; Security & Risk Management.

The candidate is expected to setup, design and formulate the supporting documents and establish a framework of processes and procedures for the day-to-day operations of the role and the service offering, and conduct continuous improvement for the team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze and influence the customer business and technical requirements to ensure the products contribute to the overall solution for the customer’s cyber roadmap.
• Support the onboarding of the products and work closely with vendors and suppliers to onboard the products for the customer. (i.e Plan, transit, attend enablement from vendor, transfer product knowledge)
• Conduct staff enablement or training workshops for prospects
• Plan and conduct Proof of Concepts with prospects
• Plan and execute project timeline with various stakeholder to ensure project timeline are adhered to
• Work closely with vendors and customer to resolve technical or deployment issues to ensure successful deployment of the product into customer IT environment
• Work closely with customer for support on day 2 operations (including reports generations)
• Support exhibitions/tradeshows to showcase the product/solution

Job Requirements:

• Articulate and presentable
• Familiar with Windows OS and Unix OS variants
• Experience in the use, deployment, and configuration of CSPs cloud native security tools, especially for AWS and Azure, will be advantageous
• At least five years working experience within IT Security, cloud and networking
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and models
• Possess basic skills in project management and keeping to tight project timeline
• Minimally 5 years of experience working on IT security tools
• IT security industry certifications are highly favourable

The role:

You are a hands-on, meticulous individual who possess knowledge on programming skills and algorithm development.

• Support migration of on-premise architecture design for implementation and deployment on AWS, Azure, GCP and/or equivalent cloud platforms.

Requirements

• Programming skills/experience in C#/Java/NodeJS/Python is a must. Relevant experience in software development for Cloud / Cloud+Hybrid systems preferred.
• Familiarity with virtualisation and container technologies like Nutanix, VMWare, OpenStack, Docker and Kubernetes preferred.
• A team player with strong analytical/ problem solving and communication skills.
• Candidates with experience on Cloud, DevOps and relevant (ISC)² Information Security Certifications are preferred.
• Candidates are expected to have undergone two (2) full product development lifecycles. A series of Product-specific and on-the-job trainings will be provided.

Responsibilities

Develop and Implement Product Marketing Strategies ( Pricing, Advertising, Product Launching )

• Conduct thorough research on competitors and perform market research to understand what respective product target audience look for in their ideal products
• Use this research and knowledge of our products to identify clear positioning, determine most appealing features of products and craft compelling messages across marketing channels (landing pages/ad campaigns), develop engaging/educational product marketing campaigns that reach a wide target audience and outline product marketing deployment timelines for the year.
• Work with various teams (design, content, acquisition, product, sales) to implement strategies
• Test marketing product features, releases and ad copy.

Focus on 3 Levels of the Sales Funnel and Develop Awareness/Consideration/Preference Campaigns

• Acquisition – maximise reach of product content (social media, blogs). Able to determine what time of campaign needs to be done, create a budget for the marketing endeavours, craft a project plan to map out when this content will be released and oversee a team who will create the desired content.
• Engagement – Build trust and create conversation with potential customers through events, campaign and specific calls to action
• Conversion and Retention – Convert potential customer into paying customers for one-time purchases and keeping customers loyal through subscription models or add-on purchases.
• Partner with any relevant local/global trade organizations to increase ST Cyber Product presence through speakership, activations and attendance
• Support Enterprise Analyst Relation effort
• Develop/own GTM scorecard/dashboard and associated metrics/goals/benchmarks track/report progress against them

Develop Effective Marketing Content and Actionable Enterprise Customer insights

• Plan/create/edit/optimise wide range of customer-facing marketing collaterals
• Identify relevant opinion leaders, influencers, media and content partners who can serve as advocates or partners in co-creating content and developing value offerings
• Evaluate using owned, paid, earned and other avenues to maximise distribution of assets to the right audience

Requirements

• More than 5 years proven experience as Product Marketing Manager, Brand Manager or similar role in B2B space. Background in design and copywriting is a plus.
• Deep understanding of market trends and product lifecycles
• Demonstrated experience in market analysis and demonstrated analytical skills in distilling and using customer data/insights and industry trends to develop communications and content strategies targeted at enterprises to drive marketing qualified leads for sales conversion.
• Firm grasp of ways to develop strategic product marketing campaigns, familiar with product marketing tactics ( integrated marketing campaigns ) and knows how to leverage martech and CRM tools and sales enablement platforms to enrich engagement and drive conversion.
• Hands-on experience in adopting digital performance marketing metrics (website traffic search ranking, email open statistics, AB test results, cost per lead and conversion rate across all funnels) to improve performance, refine content development and distribution and to incorporate as future strategy and actions
• Strong communication and project management skills. Able to prioritize tasks and responsibilities across projects, that includes managing advertising/direct marketing and research vendors
