Job Requirements :

• Diploma / ITC / NTC in Mechatronics/ Electrical & Electronics engineering or related discipline, preferably with 2 years in manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in written and communication skills in English.
• Practical computer skills and knowledge with hands-on ability.
• Familiarity with inspection equipment, statistical tools, Geometric Dimension and Tolerance knowledge will be an advantage
• Able to use microscope for inspection and verification.

• Fluent in English and Mandarin or Malay
• Familiar with Halal Certification Matters

Position Summary :

The primary duties are to develop and improve products through experimentation, perform tests on food ingredients and ensurethat correct methodologies are used to generate information for the required food quality and consistency standards. He/She supports the production function by providing food science expertise in designing processes to manufacture new products; meeting regulatory requirements for sales and export, as well as Halal compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Innovate new food products

• Create product prototypes through experimentation and laboratory tests
• Explore new applications of existing products and processes
• Evaluate products’ characteristics and shelf life for implications on quality and scalability
• Establish product specifications and documentation
• Formulate product refinements based on sensory testing and consumer data

Conduct tests for food quality

• Guide sample collection activities, to ensure compliance with specified procedures
• Perform appropriately for abnormal occurrences affecting sampling conditions
• Guide testing activities to ensure correct test methods, conditions and processes are employed
• Conduct follow-up tests on samples that require attention
• Document, compile and summarise experimental data for review and interpretation
• Sensory evaluations

Operationalise manufacturing of new products

• Conceptualise mass production processes using current facilities and equipment
• Refine recipe formulation for mass production purposes and compliance to regulatory and other requirements
• Review methods to improve quality of new food products and ensure compliance with food regulations during mass production
• Troubleshoot new or modified production processes to resolve production, quality and regulatory compliance issues, such as Halal
• Recommend manufacturing processes and/or modify existing equipment or processes

Conceptualise marketing for product

• Verify product formulation and other information for product profiling
• Conceptualise “product stories” from food preparation processes for marketing purposes

Liase with suppliers

• Ensuring that the products are in line with company standards (eg. Halal & ISO)
• Checking with legislation if products are imported (eg. Whether permitted to import to Singapore & dosage amount if any, and Halal source)
• Checking minimum orders
• Ensure products are in accordance to legislations and standards, such as Halal source

Lead/Drive Capex reduction/optimization projects by working with sites and central function teams

• Setup Monthly Capex Reduction forum / Grassroot forum to track progress and seek for more savings opportunities
• Ensure all savings being documented in Ticket system
• Create and maintain Overall AT capex Saving Tableau dashboard
• Identify, advocate & share Best known Methods / practices across the network
• Help establish, define & communicate targets for sites & network teams
• Drive transition from MICAP to CALM and establish/improve the business processes towards capital reduction efforts
• Update status documentation (Weekly report, Newsletter)
• Compute Capex spend profile
• Collaborate with multifunctional site & central teams of Procurement, engineering, manufacturing, Planning, Finance, Facilities, Automation, Logistics & others, to identify & track capital reduction efforts
• Document, Track & communicate Improvement Initiatives on a regular cadence
• Report out Capital Savings performance to plan on a weekly basis, through dashboard (such as Tableau) and Playbook Updates
• Chair monthly forum with all stakeholders (including Leadership) to communicate on the program status
• Escalate, in a timely and an appropriate manner, any issues or roadblocks to supervisor and other leaders
• Provide clear direction to sites on timelines and details to capture applicable savings projects
• Provide recommendations through clear, logical & data-driven information to be used in any decision-making process
• Keep abreast with continually changing business plans and roadmaps that affect site equipment requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or an equivalent science degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Semiconductor Engineering, Planning or equivalent operations.
• Required Skills / Qualifications
• Maintain Knowledge of Semiconductor Back End Process Areas & keep abreast of Equipment (Tool of Record) being used
• Understand (or be willing to learn) planning systems such as MICAP, CALM, CSM, ADCS etc., and documentation systems (Tickets, SAP Fiori) relevant to capital spending & reduction
• Lead without authority and help resolve conflicts between different groups as needed. Negotiate and defuse stressful situations to achieve optimal outcomes for Micron.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving & data validation skills to align network issues and standardize calculation methodologies across the network
• Demonstrate additional soft skills such as dealing with ambiguity, ability to work both independently & in a team environment, responsiveness & exceptional customer focus.

Job Description

Responsibilities

As a Site QE PQA Engineer in MSB, you will be responsible for inline process control, outgoing product control and deviation management to drive focus and continual improvement of site quality performance. You will support technical risk assessment of process change as well as play a key role in the Change team in determining the site process conversion strategy.

• Work with Assembly/Test/Module/SSD Process/Equipment/Manufacturing teams to drive inline and outgoing control to meet customers’ quality requirement
• Manage quality deviation and drive for closure of corrective/preventive actions to drive for deviation reduction and continual improvement
• Perform Data Mining to identify quality improvement opportunities and lead site quality improvement projects
• Support site focus on improving performance variation that impact quality performance
• Work with Global Quality, Product Engineering & Central Teams to understand key customer quality issues and drive these issues to resolution within the site
• Develop strong relationships with Global Quality, Product Engineering & Central Teams to improve business process performance.
