Designation – Product Technology Specialist
As Product Technology Specialist, you will join our Digital and Innovation team in Singapore. This is an exciting role for you as you will experience diverse set of innovation in IOT and battery technology, understanding the customers’ needs and translating into technology solutions.
Be part of the team that brings both hardware and software capabilities seamlessly together and generate battery insights for customers.
The role will be responsible for customer onboarding, providing technical training, assisting in vendor selection with your technical expertise, and be a valuable voice-of-customer (VOC) to product development.
Key Expectation
- To be the subject matter expert when it comes to IOT technology integration with battery system and cloud platform.
Key success measure for the role
- Ability to engage customers and distil their needs to translate into technical solution and business use cases. Good time management skill to handle projects and ensure the smooth completion with high level customer satisfaction. An inquisitive and high-initiative mind to engage stakeholders to learn and explore ways to improve processes and knowledge base.
Core Responsibilities are as follows:
- Gathering, validating, and documenting customers’ requirements
- Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining project impacts
- Creating functional specifications for solutions
- Estimating costs and identifying business savings
- Simplifying information and deciphering technical jargon so it is easily understood by the whole team
- Explore options and validating solutions to solve customers’ needs
- Be the valuable VOC and bring along creative ideas for brainstorming of ideas
- Take accountability for the project timeline and milestones
What We Need from You
- Electrical, electronic or computer engineering degree with a good understanding/interest of Battery technology with about 3-5 years of experience
- Comfortable in stakeholder engagement at all levels and cross border departments
- Keen to take on the challenge of leveraging both hardware and software technology in the energy sector
- The ability to understand and analyse problems, and methodical in finding solutions
- The ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to solve project challenges
- The ability to make decisions around things such as requirement prioritisation, scope, assessing viability of solutions etc
- The ability to articulate technical and complex concepts to audience with non-technical background
