Additive Manufacturing (AM) Senior Technician (3rd Shift – 11 PM to 7 AM)

As a Senior AM Technician, you will assist the AM engineers in operating and managing the WAAM printing equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Set up, operate, and monitor large-scale robotic 3D printing equipment to produce parts according to Job sheet specifications.
• Prepare and load materials into the 3D printers, ensuring proper fixture, alignment and configuration.
• Monitor the printing process, perform regular inspections, and make necessary adjustments to maintain print quality and prevent issues.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Maintain up-to-date production records and reports, accurately documenting work performed.
• Update the Supervisor on job status and report any non-conformance issues raised during fabrication.
• Perform equipment preventative maintenance.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications, Key Skills & Desired Qualities:

• Higher Nitec/Nitec/ ITE Skills Certificate (ISC) or Certification in Welding or equivalent.
• 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment or similar advanced welding techniques.
• Able to work on permanent 3rd shift (11 PM to 7 AM).
• Able to work independently with a positive attitude and a team player.
• A good understanding of welding techniques.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist to execute daily production control activities, such as Production Scheduling, Line Balancing and manpower planning.
• Assist to execute daily quality control activities, such as Adherence to all SOP requirements as per respective regulatory guidelines GMP, Halal, GDP Medical Device & Therapeutic products.
• To ensure documentation and records are proper and complete.
• To ensure housekeeping & cleaning of the production equipment’s and facilities are completed.
• To carry out production activities as per production operators and hand packers.
• To execute maintenance activities.
• Any other duties assigned by superior / management.

Key Performance Indicators: -

• Ensure daily production targets are carried out and timely and accurately
• Ensuring all documents and records are accurate and complete.
• Ensure production equipment’s and facilities are carried out daily.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Perform a repetitive and wide range of mechanical assembly operations in support of production projects; perform assembly of complex discrete wire harnesses and multi conductor jacketed cables, coax, twin-ax, and tri-ax cables, power, and flat cable assemblies.

• Assembles, modifies, reworks, and/or reassembles production components, utilizing drawing, pick tickets, process documentation, and/or verbal instruction.

• Prepares and utilizes basic hand tools and machines including but not limited to power screwdriver, ruler, solder iron, clamp machine, heat gun, solder pot, crimpers, pinning machine, and automatic wire strippers.

• Clean parts prior to production use as required.

• Identify wires with the usage of the basic color code sequence.

• Participates in first-time production runs of new products.

• Support cycle count activity, inventory handling, and inventory transactions following established material procedures.

• Participates in continuous improvement and team-building activities; maintains productive working relationships with all team members.

• Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of machines and techniques in this industry and/or similar industries.

• Meet daily production output & quality requirements.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Responsibilities:

● Execute production/ maintenance work by following manufacturing process work instructions

● Prepare, install, program, or repair programmable components.

● Perform configurations, recordkeeping, and quality check efforts.

● Perform minor repairs and replacements for robots.

● Work closely with departments to ensure committed schedules are met.

● Liaise with the Supply Chain department in receiving items, requesting, and maintaining relevant inventory.

Requirements:

● Experience in electrical/ mechanical engineering is required

● Nitec, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or similar, some experience in a Production Line will be an advantage.

● Strong communication skills in English (Experience in technical writing will be an advantage) Google Suite, Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Linux/ Ubuntu is good to have.

● Basic Hand tools and troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Able to use Photoshop and illustrator is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Printing Technician or in a similar role within the printing industry.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining printer.
• Knowledge of different printing techniques and processes.
• Familiarity with various types of printing materials and inks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
