Job Objectives
We are seeking a skilled and experienced application production support to oversee and manage various projects within our prod support team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the project management, particularly with prod support env, and possess excellent org and comm skills.
This role will primarily focus on coordinating and managing projects related to the maintenance and enhancement of our production systems, ensuring timely delivery, stability, and high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Key point of contact for development team to coordinate / validate on the production readiness, change quality, observability, resilience, and production risk
- Identify and mitigate project risk, proactively addressing potential issues to minimize potential disruptions to production operations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications, providing regular updates to stakeholders on project status, milestones, and any changes in scope or requirements.
- Facilitate the resolution of project-related issues and conflicts, working collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to find effective solutions
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, status reports, and other relevant records.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the production support team, implementing best practices to enhance overall project delivery and performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Own production operational issues by issuing initial response, data gathering, tracking, and resolution where possible as well as determining escalation protocol based on the nature of the issue
- Ability to direct multiple resources on cross functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex systems issues
- Manage and respond to users on timely manner for reported production issues/clarification
Key Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, JMS, Webservices, Micro Service, Oracle, UNIX, IBM MQ Series, CTRL+M, Splunk
- Proven experience in project management, particularly in a production support environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Hands-on experience in IT Operations/Production support L2/L3.
- Experience in ITIL process and tools like Control-M is a plus.
- Strong analytical & trouble shooting skills required.
- Experience in Disaster Recovery planning and test execution.
- Exhibits problem solving skills and shows flexibility in supporting evolution in process, standards, and strategy.
- Experience working in financial services industry supporting mission critical applications is a big plus.
