Job Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the maintenance of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
• Lead and guide technical officers and technicians in performing M&E maintenance tasks.
• Schedule and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for systems such as lifts and escalators, fire protection and alarm systems, auto-doors, anti-terrorist vehicle barriers (ATVB), pumps, and mechanical piping, plumbing, and drainage systems.
• Quickly troubleshoot and resolve faults to minimize operational disruptions.
• Investigate breakdowns, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure maintenance programs comply with safety and statutory standards.
• Analyse equipment performance, identify issues and implement improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history.
• Prepare detailed incident and technical reports.
• Achieve effective, economical, and safe operations of all Electrical Services' equipment and systems by the team of technical officers and technicians.
• Conduct regular inspections of existing Electrical installations to ensure that all maintenance programs are implemented effectively and in strict compliance with instructions and guidelines.
• Develop work schedules and rosters for technical staff to ensure adequate coverage.
• Train and mentor team members to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and clients to address and resolve technical issues.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering high-quality work.
• Ensure all tasks comply with safety procedures, company policies, and regulations.
• Support ad-hoc projects and assist with rectification works as required.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
• M&E Facilities Management or related M&E fields or FM operations background with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience will be an added advantage
• Strong communication skills with a positive mind-set, hardworking, and capable of multi-tasking effectively.
• Customer Service oriented mind-set
• Experience managing and leading a team of technicians

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the fire protection team (consisting of 1 Assistant Engineer, 3 Technical Officers & 4 workers)
• Develop and implement fire protection strategies, standards, and policies in line with industry regulations.
• Create fire protection plans by working closely with other departments and contractors
• Design and execute fire safety training programs for facility staff and workers.
• Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure compliance.
• Stay abreast of developments in fire protection systems, codes, and standards. Ensure the team remains updated on best practices.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, fire departments, and other stakeholders to guarantee compliance with codes and regulations.
• Provide technical support to project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders as needed.
• Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of fire protection systems & also to ensure all fire protection systems are in good working condition
• Develop and monitor budgets, providing regular reports to the Director of Facilities Management.
• Maintain accurate documentation of projects
• Liaise with and coordinate with the clients.
• Attend meetings when required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Facilities, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Preferably with a minimum of 3 or 5 years of experience in fire protection or facilities management, with a focus on fire protection.
• Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, principles, codes, and standards is advantageous.
• Experience in managing and leading a team of engineers and technicians.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and develop creative solutions.
• Having LTA /Tunnel experiences will be an added advantage
