Alfa Laval Singapore is looking for a skilled Supervisor to join our global repair team within the business unit Marine Heat & gas. The position is based in Singapore, and you will be part of a motivated team working with steel repair inspections and supervision on boiler plants, scrubbers, and inert gas generators.
Job Description
Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of boiler repair technicians, providing guidance, training, and support. Assign tasks, manage work schedules, and ensure team members are working efficiently.
Technical Expertise: Oversee and actively participate in boiler repair and maintenance tasks. Troubleshoot, inspect, diagnose, and report in writing boiler issues, recommending appropriate repair solutions. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and practices within the workshop and during project execution. Conduct safety training sessions and regular safety audits. Investigate and report any safety incidents or accidents promptly.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repair projects, including work orders and reports. Prepare project progress reports for management and clients.
Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to provide updates, address client concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
What You Know
Proven experience in boiler repair and maintenance, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Strong technical knowledge of boiler systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a workshop or repair setting.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Proficient in safety regulations and best practices in the boiler repair industry.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in computer applications and project management software (Microsoft 365 enviroment).
Relevant certifications and licenses preferred.
