Reporting to the Technical Officer and Senior Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for preserving the good condition and functionality of the school premise. This includes maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing, ventilation works and other building systems.
Responsibilities:
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure consistency with health and safety standards.
- Check work orders via the ticketing system daily and take on assigned work activities accordingly. This includes setting up and tearing down of events location.
- Ensure scheduled inspections, maintenance and repair work are conducted regularly and properly recorded. This includes the buildings (e.g. landscaping, painting, carpentry, pest control etc), equipments, electrical systems (e.g. replacing light bulbs/sockets, cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels etc), alarm systems (e.g. fire and protection), plumbing systems and manual repairs (e.g. fixing of locks, replacing of windows etc).
- Maintain the air conditioning and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Ensure emergency repairs are attended to promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain the inventory (e.g. tools and materials) in a tidy and appropriate manner.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Senior Maintenance Supervisor and/or Technical Officer.
Requirements:
- Nitec in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in maintenance
- Good knowledge in general maintenance processes and methods
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Able to carry load of up to 25kg.
