Job Responsibilities
1. Building and Maintenance
- Support the Manager in the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure that the facilities at CDAC Headquarters and Centres are maintained to high standards.
- Assist in ensuring timely troubleshooting, service, and maintenance operations across all sites.
- Respond promptly to service requests and carry out maintenance tasks related to building and mechanical/electrical (M&E) services at CDAC locations.
- Conduct regular inspections of premises to assess the need for repairs or renovations.
- Assist to plan and oversee the installation of M&E services, as well as building refurbishments.
- Monitor utilities consumption and implement measures to optimise cost efficiency.
2. Contract, Project, and Budget Management
- Assist to prepare tender specifications for building works.
- Assist to administer maintenance budgets, performing cost analysis and forecasting to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Assist to manage contracts with service providers for services such as landscaping, security, cleaning, electrical systems, and air-conditioning maintenance.
- Coordinate with suppliers and service providers to ensure maintenance work adheres to contractual and procedural standards, including compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain basic technical knowledge of M&E systems, including fire protection, audio-visual (AV), and air-conditioning, mechanical ventilation (ACMV) systems.
3. Compliance Monitoring
- Assist the Manager in ensuring that facilities meet government regulations, including health and safety, security, and energy efficiency standards. This includes adherence to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Building Services, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in building facilities maintenance and project management, particularly in Additions & Alterations (A&A) works.
- Basic technical expertise in building maintenance.
- Ability to read construction and M&E drawings is a must.
- Strong independent work ethic with a focus on planning, execution, and delivering results.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
