Responsibilities:
- Install and configure equipment on data center racks (servers, switches, routers, firewalls).
- Replace components in existing hardware (mainboards, CPUs, RAM, HDDs/SSDs, network modules, transceivers, cables).
- Conduct patching of fiber optics and Ethernet cables, ensuring accurate connections.
- Maintain tidy cable management for efficiency.
- Prepare servers for operation (OS installation, network/firewall config, application installation).
- Perform operational and maintenance tasks (cable tests, equipment power cycling, console interface setup for remote access).
- Troubleshoot issues (ping/traceroute, hardware tests, generate logs for vendor escalation).
- Manage inventory and ensure proper asset tracking.
- Enforce data center processes, access control, and compliance with rules and regulations.
- Escort external vendors to ensure premises security.
Requirements:
- Min Nitec in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
- Candidate with no experience is welcome to apply, training will be provided
- Proficient in equipment installation and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of data center operations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
