Our major Oil & Energy (Downstream) Client is urgently looking for Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) who will report to the Maintenance Team Lead at Pulau Bukom, Ethylene Cracker Plant. You will drive the day-to-day maintenance execution activities and execute the planned scheduled maintenance work with high expectations on safety and quality with the residential contractors. You will work closely with operation personnel, OMC and multi-disciplines engineers, planner, scheduler, and contractors on the plant related issues with compliance to ME process, work on a holistic execution plans and timely feedback on the status to the various stakeholders.

You will resolve the field execution related conflicts with various disciplines work parties and contractors, actively field supervision on the contractor’s work quality and safety for meeting site Quality and HSSE requirements by envision toward an end to end follow up principles on the work assignments throughout the entire life cycles of maintenance executions process for the various stages from planning, preparations, job executions and GSAP close out.

You will provide nightshift support and executions on the plant shutdown work for the planned (PITSTOP) and unplanned (Ad-hoc Emergency) manner when required to ensure plant reliability and availability of the process equipment and meeting the business plans. You will work closely in coordination with various disciplines internal or external on deliverables of the executions plan and safe work executions on the maintenance activities with goal zero mindset and with superior work quality delivered.

You need to have strong project management, execution and interpersonal skills, and the key driver to the multi-disciplines work crews in resolving conflicts on the work planning, resources, logistic and materials issues related to maintenance execution. You will plan and execute minor MOC project with high deliverable on safety, quality, and compliance to company policy. You will streamline the work processes and actively look out for continue improvement opportunities in running the maintenance and shutdown activities with optimum cost saving, safety, and quality. To achieve and maintain the established Game ME processes requirements and actively close the gaps by maximizing planning and resources management, you will provide timely feedback on the work status to the scheduler and stakeholders, coordinate the discovery plan change with compliance to ME processes and timely update the GSAP work order status throughout the Game ME life cycles.

• Have Degree in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical) with minimum 3 years of relevant Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical and Chemical Industry Experiences in Maintenance execution OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years and good on hand experiences in engineering/maintenance of rotating & static equipment (experience in oil and gas industry is preferred) can also be considered

Responsibilities (FPSO FEED and Detail Engineering)

• Responsible for preparing Instrumentation drawings and design work like, system block diagram, termination diagram, deck arrangement layout (F&G detector, field instrumentation, etc), room arrangement layout.
• Perform 3D modelling for instrumentation equipment/material and take part in the 3D model review workshop to resolve clashes and arrangement issues with other disciplines/trades.
• Prepare and issue 2D shop/construction drawings based on the complete 3D model.
• Familiar with cable schedule preparation and cable length estimation based on 2D General Arrangement.
• Works closely with drafting specialist for the preparation and modification of technical design specification, drawings (i.e. IFA, IFC and etc.), and the sequence of operations for Instrumentation design
• Review and consolidate MTO, weight information, and equipment list provided by engineering subcontractor under the guidance of senior team member
• Guides junior team members in the generation of detailed Instrumentation construction drawings (i.e. layouts, interconnection & termination diagram and etc.) by utilising specific drafting software and tool in the engineering network systems
• Performs basic engineering calculations for the generation of instrumentation document / drawings and cost estimates under the guidance of senior team members
• Perform vessel site visit / inspection and coordinates with Instrumentation engineers and other discipline engineers, drafting specialists, subcontractors and consultants, to check and to verify for the preparation of MTO / BOM
• Responsible for Instrumentation design data collection, analysis in order to support project feasibility studies, preparation of tender/ construction documents as well as basic and detailed design drawings
• Assembles Instrumentation design engineered submittal manuals/ booklets including AutoCAD drawings, sequence of operations, bill of materials list, diagrams, etc. and provides copying support for contractors/ customers
• Liase with vendors to obtain updated information, when required and maintains Instrumentation design submittal filing system (i.e. AutoCAD and etc.) in the engineering reference library
• Attend meetings with project stakeholders as required to resolve engineering issues.
• Any other duties as assigned by superior(s) from time to time

Job Descriptions:

* Familiar with analytical systems such as O2, Ammonia, pH, TOC, TRC, Conductivity and etc Analyzer, and instruments (PIT, TIT, FIT, etc)

* Coordinate with internal team, vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.

* Ensure all installations & commissioning meet customer specifications and industry standards.

* Ad-hoc engineering support to customer when required.

Job Requirements:

* Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Environmental, Science, Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification)

* Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills

* Preferably 3 - 5 years of working experience or more in the analytical instruments or related field.

* Knowledge of analyzers, instrumentation would be advantageous.

* Able to work independently and write effective good service report

* Good work experience with Hart communicator, calibration, and PLC/SCADA would be advantageous

• Focal Point with internal and external stakeholders for all HVAC control and automation, F&G detection system, Fire suppression system and telecom matters.
• Carry out design and engineering for onshore and offshore E-house integration projects in accordance to project specification including cabling and installation details.

• Basic knowledge on piping specification and requirements.
