Job Description & Requirements

• Work closely with the local departments, and adapt to changing priorities with guidance from senior team members.
• Work with specimens maintained at varying temperatures (ranging from ambient to cryogenic), including the limited movement of shipper boxes filled with dry ice.
• Perform receipt, QC checks, labeling and onward processing of clinical trials specimens.
• Specimens Accessioning: Perform accurate data entry into various laboratory information management systems
• Specimen Storage: maintain full inventory and tracking of storage specimens while ensuring the integrity of the specimens at all times
• Specimen Shipping and Disposals: prepare specimens for real-time and scheduled onward shipment to other referral laboratories. Process specimens marked for disposal.
• Raise and resolve specimen management-related queries with other departments.
• Perform housekeeping to maintain a clean and tidy working environment, including basic freezer maintenance and disposition of waste.
• Support monitoring of cold storage units and environment.
• Utilise study documentation to aid in problem solving and escalate to senior staff as required.
• Manage specimen-related study documentation including archiving
• Monitor and maintain consumables inventory.
• Perform all processes in accordance with SOPs and appropriate regulatory guidelines including Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and IATA
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum Higher Nitec or Diploma in arelated field
• Excellent communication skills
• Exceptional documentation and data entryskills
• 5-day work week including Saturday
• Willing to learn, positive attitude and mustbe a team player
• Trained in IATA Dangerous GoodsRegulations (DGR) would be advantageous
• Salary will commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and operational issues.
• Develop & implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of building systems & equipment.
• Coordinate & supervise maintenance activities, including repairs, installations and renovations.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors for facility-related services.
• Implement energy-saving initiative and sustainable practices to enhance facility efficiency.
• Oversee compliance with health & safety regulations, ensuring as secure work environments for all occupants.
• Plan & execute emergency responses procedures, including evacuation plans and disaster recovery.
• Maintain accurate records of facility maintenance activities, expenses, and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support space planning, office relocations, and facility expansions.
• Monitor and manage budgets related to facilities maintenance and improvement projects.
• To perform other tasks as may be assigned by the Head of Facilities Management Department.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a corporate or industry setting.
• Proven experience of minimum 3-year in similar field or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Good project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, vendors ,and contractors.
• Understanding of sustainability practices and green building concepts is a plus.
• Responsible for any other ad hoc duties assigned.
• Important to have a can-do attitude, willingness to self-learn and guide others.
