Job Summary

This role will work with external service contractors to ensure all projects and/or maintenance work are completed within timeline.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth execution of any fitting out and reinstatement/renovation projects.
• Supervise service contractors' work and ensure proper safety measures are carried out accordingly
• Assist in emergency management during evacuations
• Assist in annual department budgeting exercise
• Ensure all licenses, permits are renewed accordingly
• Undertake the sprucing assignments or renovation project in the hospital when necessary.
• Assist the engineers to coordinate and oversee ad hoc jobs in the maintenance of the hospital building.
• Assist the senior maintenance technicians to do and oversee ad hoc maintenance work, whether carried out by in-house or by external contractors
• Any other ad hoc duties assigned

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Building Services / Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience in building facilities / engineering maintenance services
• Hospital experience will be an added advantage

• Plan and carry out preventive maintenance throughout the hotel to ensure that standards are maintained for guest comfort.
• Assist the Chief Engineer in the general administration, training and coaching within the department.
• Ensure the smooth daily operation in the department through supervision, delegation of duties and coordinate all engineering activities within the Hotel.
• Ensure the preventive/ corrective maintenance for all the hotel’s facilities are done promptly.
• Conduct routine checks and log data of all facilities, following up on faults and repair works if required.
• Perform property/ room preventive maintenance inspection and update.
• Perform incident investigation and prepares report.
• Source for quotations and prepare purchase requisitions for spare parts and repair works.
• Maintain the tidiness of the store, workshop and check on the tool inventory.
• Ensure that all spare parts are available for use whenever required and proper storage of supplies & materials.
• Maintain fire-fighting facilities and equipment in compliance to the Fire Safety regulation.
• Perform regular energy/ defect analysis and be involved in energy management.
• Keep up to date on safety-related administrative documents.
• Ensure his/her own safety and the safety of others during interventions and those of the external service providers.
• Be available to carry out emergency maintenance work outside of normal working hours, as required for: full power failure, evacuation fire system re-set and / or failure of mechanical systems.
• Maintain records of repair work and daily checks as required by the local Council, § Government and Manufacturer specifications.
• Support the co-ordination of safety and security/risk management programs via third party providers
• Work with the operational Department Heads team to ensure InterREACT tracking and compliance
• Ensure health, safety and welfare of all ambassadors is provided for through implementation of integrated occupational safety and health program.
• Ensure the external areas of the hotel are neat and tidy and maintained in line with Company brand standards.

As an Assistant Manager, Facilities Management, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Design, implement, and oversee policies and procedures for maintaining facilities and equipment.
• Coordinate and manage all facility-related projects and renovations, including the construction of new facilities, while ensuring the safety and security of assets.
• Negotiate and timely renew contracts, permits, and licenses related to facilities.
• Ensure adherence to statutory regulations concerning facilities and equipment
• Collaborating with stakeholders to enforce safety protocols and address audit findings and recommendations from regulatory bodies.
• Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of emergency management, Business Continuity Plans (BCP), and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) strategies.
• Develop, implement, and manage the preventive maintenance and efficient operation of medical equipment across departments.
• Evaluate, select, and recommend contractors/vendors to ensure optimal maintenance of medical equipment, while managing the annual budgeting process for these services.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirement:

• Minimum Diploma holder
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience

As an Facilities Management Executive, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Oversee and maintain facilities at assigned clinics by collaborating with contractors and vendors in adherence to all rules and regulations.
