Salt is looking to hire Facilities Engineer for 12 months & renewable contract role for a global technology client. We are looking for a skilled specialist who works on assignments requiring considerable judgement. Focus is on tasks using considerable skilled judgement and has deep understanding of standard operating procedures & supports the overall team.

Responsibilities:

• Performs specialized preventative and corrective maintenance on-site to critical facility components and/or systems.
• Performs moderately difficult repairs, maintenance, installations, and on-site inspections to critical facility systems.
• Monitors the Building Monitoring System (BMS) and resolves alarms for specialized issues requiring considerable judgement and implications to resolve
• Coordinates and directs vendors on skilled tasks to ensure that maintenance activities are carried out per standards and requirements
• Performs specialized site logs and data gathering for issuing of permits, such as Maintenance Operation Protocol (MOPs) and scripts.
• Identifies Single Points of Failure (SPOFs) and makes recommendations for solutions.
• Completes skilled work requests and circuit installations

Skills:

• 2+ years of experience, prefer data center experience
• Must be proficient in MS Office
• Background in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering

This position is responsible for overseeing overall building maintenance and security operation for all office buildings, colocation Rooms and netco rooms, includes conducting inspection, coordinating maintenance/ improvement programs and projects, compile data for reporting and forecasting future needs and costs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in operations and implementation of facilities management programs, including formulating programs relating to routine and periodic maintenance works, plan and implement the cyclical replacement/ enhancement works.
• Support Manager for preparation of operation and capital budget, monitoring and control to ensure completion within time and cost objectives.
• Assist in contract administration and management, including calling, evaluation, negotiation and award recommendation of tenders/ quotations.
• Support the effective planning and management of activities of outsourced service partners, providing supervision and controlling their performance.
• Coordinate with internal engineers and the appointed managing agent to ensure maintenance of all systems are being carried out according to plan and contracted scope of work and manage facilities related to timely repair and replacement work.
• Assist to investigate, develop and implement solutions, trouble shoot on day-to-day operational problems of facilities and building.
• Assist to develop and implement policies, protocol and procedures to maintain full compliance with the prevailing legislative acts and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct periodical quality control inspections for potential safety hazards and unsafe conditions, initiate corrective measures to maintain a secure, safe and healthy work environment (the inspections should include after office hours if need be).
• Attend to all emergency/crisis on and off hours and provide a timely response to incidents as they arise and assist in emergency management and contingency planning.
• Assist Manager to deliver customers’ facilities requests.
• Assist in internal and external audits.
  

Requirements

• Degree/ Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Facilities Management or equivalent
• Preferably with 5 years of relevant working experience. Prior experience in critical facilities such as Data Centre would be an added advantage.
• Well versed in all facets of facilities management with general knowledge of all real estate functions including planning, development, asset management and project management.
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work under pressure in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Job Decription

• Perform sample analysis accurately in accordance to the specified standard methods
• Prepare chemical stock solutions and reagents
• Standardize reagent/equipment when necessary
• Review the results and retest when it is suspect
• Upkeep the cleanliness of work areas, apparatus and equipment

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/ Graduate Diploma In Chemistry or equivalent
• At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in Petroleum Testing is required for this position.
• Experienced lab technician specialized in Petroleum Laboratory
• Well spoken English and communication skills
• Computer Literate
• Should be able to work in 12 Hour Shifts
• Able to work during Weekends & Public Holidays
