Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage component repair team manpower, scope, budget, and technical execution across a variety of product lines with a focus on developing repairs, reviewing RSS/PCN packages, and dispositioning departure records
- Accountable for monitoring and communicating repair project status, business issues, and significant developments as appropriate within and outside the cross-functional team
- Work collaboratively with design, product support and other engineering teams along with shop productivity leaders to formulate technical solutions and strategies that align with short and long term business objectives
- Lead or support root cause/corrective action efforts in response to development and on-going process learnings
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the team’s assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with Engineering, Quality and Services policies
- Lead and facilitate regular communication of technical and business information between organizations, within the work group and with senior business leaders.
- Ensure company compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented within the sections.
- Conduct performance appraisals and participate in salary planning
- Promote professional growth through timely performance feedback and coaching
- Apply Lean principles for team operations and continuous improvement efforts
- In this role, you will gain or build: systems thinking and people leadership skills through the broader integration of design, materials science, manufacturing, and quality while delivering current and future repair technologies and business strategies
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in a design, product support or repair engineering role or in Aerospace Products
- Minimum Degree in engineering field from an accredited college or university
- Knowledge of FAA/ EASA regulation for repair Engineering
- Experience integrating engineering with shop business and technical objectives
