· To maintain an Inventory of equipment, reagents, chemicals and other laboratory consumables.

· To assist to manage a care programme for all laboratory equipment, including the schedule preventive maintenance and required calibration.

· Collate, and organise timely and accurate laboratory and analysis reports of the company to the directors as required; and measure and monitor laboratory productivity for the company.

· Actively seek source and suppliers of laboratory chemicals, reagents, equipment and wares to form business partnerships and relationships for the benefit of the company.

· To liaise with engineering & technical research resources of the company and its subsidiaries.

· To conceptualise, initiate and implement the environmental, health, safety and security policies, plans and systems of the laboratory.

· Designated management representative, and lead the company ISO 14000 preparation, monitoring, management & audits.

· Custodian of all required environmental, business & other regulatory permits, and organise applications, renewals and submissions for compliance pertaining to the laboratory.

Others

· To be a member in the company’s environmental management committee, providing support in maintaining and managing the EMS system for ISO 14000.

· To perform other tasks as assigned by the company not limited to the above mentioned.

Job Requirements

· Min Nitec in Chemical Process Technology/ Chemical Technology

· At least 2 years of related experience in Science & Technology/Laboratory or equivalent.

· Have hand-on experience on ICP, XRF, GC, KF and other measurement tools

· Must be knowledgeable on government policies and licenses regarding EHS
