Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Calibration Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and calibrating automated PLC control panels, skid systems, and various instruments. The Calibration Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and accuracy of instrumentation equipment, contributing to the overall efficiency of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Calibration and Testing:Conduct calibration, testing, and commissioning of automated PLC control panels and skid systems.
Perform line checking, loop checking, and input-output checking using Process Meters.
Repair, test, and troubleshoot faulty instruments, ensuring adherence to scheduled timelines.
- Installation and Commissioning:Install, test, and commission new instrumentation equipment.
Conduct air tube testing, termination on both field and panel, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Inject digital and analog signals (4-20mA, 0-20mA, and digital signals) as part of commissioning procedures.
- Documentation:Prepare comprehensive documentation for all calibration, testing, and commissioning activities.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, instrument status, and calibration schedules.
- Professional Experience:Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Calibration Technician.
Familiarity with designing software such as Pro-E, In CAAD centre.
Completion of safety courses in building construction supervision and oil/petrochemical industry safety for supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engineering from a recognized institution or ITE Graduate.
- Relevant certifications in calibration and instrumentation.
- Strong understanding of automated PLC control panels and skid systems.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in using Process Meters and other calibration tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving instrument faults.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Good communication skills and a commitment to safety protocols.
