Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated MSAT Process Development Technician to support downstream bioprocess development. You will conduct experiments, perform analytical tests, and manage laboratory operations to ensure smooth and compliant processes. This role is ideal for someone with a background in biotechnology or biochemistry and a strong interest in laboratory work and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Process Evaluation Studies:
- Carry out experiments to assess and validate scale-down models for downstream processes, including ultrafiltration, to support process development initiatives.
Perform Analytical Testing:
- Execute analytical tests on process samples to generate data for evaluating and optimizing bioprocess performance.
Manage Laboratory Activities:
- Oversee lab operations, including buffer preparation, inventory tracking for freezers and materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment through effective waste management.
Inventory and Resource Oversight:
- Ensure all necessary lab materials and supplies are adequately stocked and available for ongoing experiments and studies.
Ensure Compliance and Recordkeeping:
- Accurately document lab activities and experimental results while adhering to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Previous experience in laboratory work, particularly in downstream bioprocessing, is preferred.
- Familiarity with ultrafiltration and other downstream processes.
- Proficiency in buffer preparation and inventory management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
