Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise outsourced Building and M&E term contractors and ensure they comply to all terms and conditions as per the Term Contract
- Conduct repair, replacement, cyclical replacements, upgrading and preventive maintenance works for M&E and ACMV systems
- Monitor school's energy consumption and review investigation reports for service breakdowns, failure analysis and recommend rectifications
- Conduct building and structural inspections, work programmes for upgrading & rectifications, improvement and A&A and general building repair works
- Review quotations and create Work Orders for contractors to carry out the necessary building and M&E works in adherence to standard procedures & policies
- Draft requirements and specifications for Invitation-To-Quote (ITQ) and Invitation-To-Tender (ITT) for all M&E, Building and sustainability related matters and ensure smooth execution according to specifications and timelines
- Assist Asst Manager in planning annual M&E and Building maintenance budget (CAPEX and recurrent) expenditures
- Monitor feedback/ requests by stakeholders and ensure that they are attended to by contractors within stipulated time frame
- Any other duties assigned by the School
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Higher NITEC with at least 5 years of relevant Estate management experience in Building and M&E management
- Candidates with Green Mark certification experience/ accreditation will be preferred
- Proficient in M&E systems and maintenance; technical competence in building defects works and interpretation of building structural and M&E drawing plans
- Proficient in BMS, M&E and ACMV systems and maintenance
- Good written and verbal communication skills with a high level of accuracy and good eye for detail
- Good organisation and time management skills with ability to work independently on tight deadlines and under pressure
- Good customer service skills with the ability to build appropriate and professional yet friendly working relationships with staff
- Ability to find solutions to problems with some degree of flexibility in the approach whenever possible
- This is a 2-year contract position (renewable)
