For the position, we are currently looking for a professional working for us on a contractor base and for a limited amount of hours per week (20 hours)

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Provide technical and troubleshooting assistance related to computer hardware and software, mobile devices and other tech tools and products
• First and second level technical support – calls/tickets/user interaction
• Provide prompt responses to IT related questions from end-users
• Reliable documentation of all end-user interactions in customer ticket system ‘Service Now’ (e.g., incidents, requests)
• Create, maintain, utilize knowledge articles
• Provide IT onboarding trainings to new starters
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

• Language skills: fluent English, other languages are a plus
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Strong problem solving/analytical abilities

Job Summary:

Join the HSE, Technical Coordination Section as a Facilities Management Support Specialist. You will play a key role in supporting our manufacturing operations by managing daily facilities activities and providing crucial administrative support. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to contribute to a variety of facility management tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily operation activities in facilities management, including building maintenance/repairs, common area upkeep, office maintenance, furniture/equipment management, pantry supplies, office stationery, company buses, canteen services, company vehicles, and pest control.
• Coordinate closely with Complex Companies General Admin (GA) and service providers to ensure safe and smooth business operations.
• Assist the Facilities & Admin Manager with vendor and contract management, including sourcing and evaluating service providers to justify vendor selection for management approval.
• Process administrative services such as systematic filing of documents, assist the Facilities & Admin Manager with payments processing, and support the preparation of management reports.
• Provide administrative support to the WSH & FS Sub-Committee, including coordinating safety suggestions, safety patrols, and near-miss updates.
• Assist in coordinating activities related to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and SS651 standards requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a GCE ‘O’ level/NITEC, with at least 2 years of working experience in facilities management or the manufacturing industry preferred.
• Knowledgeable in Workplace Safety & Health practices and ISO standards is preferred.
• Team player with initiative, curiosity to learn, problem-solving skills, and strong interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with all levels of personnel.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will use your technical expertise to support the Facilities department in maintenance and repair tasks on the interior and exterior of IKEA Tampines building.

Your assignment

• Manage and attend to requests relating to mechanical and HVAC systems in the building (e.g. fire protection system, sprinkler, air compressor, chiller checking, AHU checking, etc.)
• Perform investigation and rectification works and update the Supervisor/ Technical Officers.
• Perform and ensure all preventive maintenance works are carried out according to the maintenance programs and procedures.
• Carry out any ad-hoc maintenance or repair work as assigned while ensuring safety first.
• Follow up and provide timely updates to Team leader and Manager on the status of the request.
• Identify and report the need for repairs or breakdown issues.
• Undertake other duties as per assigned.

Your profile

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in facility/building maintenance.
• Possess at least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC in Mechanical/Electrical or equivalent.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess a good safety mindset and displays good WSH behaviour.
• Effective team player with good attention to details and strong follow-up skills.
• Strong multi-tasking ability and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Able to commit working on AM & PM shift, including weekends and public holidays.
