Position: Probe Equipment Technician/Technologist (Permanent)

Venue: Woodlands

Working Hours: 12 hours shift

Job Summary:

Equipment Technicians are responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment in their assigned area, while working in partnership with Shift Operations team members, area equipment engineers and tool vendors.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monitoring tool performance and scheduling and performing preventative maintenance on your assigned area's equipment.
• Use mechanical and electronic skills to troubleshoot and repair down equipment.
• Assist with equipment installs and upgrades and create and modify equipment procedures.
• Work to increase tool uptime through systematic problem-solving and troubleshooting, quality workmanship, and routine reviews of maintenance checklists and procedures.

Requirements:

• NITEC/Diploma in Mechatronic, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic Engineerig etc.
• Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, including: fundamentals of electricity, and basic electronic components and circuits
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and fix mechanical systems
• Vacuum system knowledge and troubleshooting ability
• Ability to use schematic diagrams to troubleshoot systems to components level
• Intermediate PC skills including a familiarity with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for both repair/maintenance services in the mechanical and electrical functions
• Assess/Procure components that aligns with the company's product manufacturing needs while considering cost-effectiveness
• Supervise the installation, adjustments, and upkeep of the company’s manufacturing machinery
• Monitor/Troubleshoot the manufacturing equipment to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations
• Update/Maintain records regarding technical notices and upgrades from equipment manufacturers
• Analyze equipment performance and reliability to enhance operational efficiency

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field of studies (Relevant working experience can be considered as well)

• Able to commit to rotating shift hours

1. Maintenance & Repair:
   • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) systems, and appliances.
   • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with the apartment’s systems and appliances, ensuring timely repairs.
   • Address minor repairs, such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, replacing light bulbs, or repairing broken fixtures.
2. Preventive Maintenance:
   • Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and facilities remain in good working condition.
   • Keep accurate records of maintenance work and report potential problems before they become major issues.
3. Health & Safety Compliance:
   • Ensure that all maintenance and repair work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
   • Assist with fire safety checks, emergency lighting tests, and other safety measures required by law.
4. Guest Service & Support:
   • Respond promptly to guest complaints or maintenance requests, ensuring any issues are resolved swiftly and professionally.
   • Communicate with other departments, such as housekeeping and front desk staff, to ensure minimal disruption to guests.
5. Inventory & Equipment Management:
   • Manage and maintain tools and equipment needed for maintenance work, ensuring they are in good condition.
   • Keep track of maintenance supplies and ensure timely restocking.
6. Facility Upkeep:
   • Perform regular checks of communal areas, such as lobbies, corridors, and recreational facilities, to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of all equipment.
7. Reporting & Documentation:
   • Record all maintenance work, including details of repairs made, time taken, and materials used.
   • Report any significant maintenance issues to the property management team for further action.

• Perform production activities such as raw or intermediate material receiving, staging, material movement, dispensing, sampling, filter inspection, material charging, offloading, drum packing, milling operations, housekeeping as per SOP.
